Why I love sewing…. It is the one way that I am sure that I can have clothes that fit my daughter… and still have enough fabric left over that we might be able to dress her dolls. And it is a great time to spend bonding with my mother and daughter… It gives us time to spend without TV, phones…. or anything else that tends to distract us and allows us to work towards making something beautiful out of scraps…
I love sewing because it is relaxing and I enjoy the smiles on my little girls’ faces when I make new clothes for their dolls. What a great giveaway! Thanks for giving methe opportunity to win.
I enjoy sewing because I like making different types girls dresses and mixing different patterns and creating a different style . Most of all the joy that come when I give it away. I have begin to make matching doll outfit so that make it even more special.
I love sewing because it gives me the chance to design my own things. To create my own ideas.
Oh this sounds like just the thing I need. I’m still learning to sew beyond a straight line. I need folks to literally draw me a picture sometimes before I understand how to do something. What I love most about sewing is starting off with this pile of weird shapes cut out of fabric. They go in one end and what comes out the other end is just real live magic to me. I love that feeling. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
I learned to sew at age 9 and I’m 62 yrs old now. Sewing has been so fun to create and make so many things for my friends and family. I just love it!
Dana
I love sewing because it’s a way to be creative and never stop learning. I also love sewing because it’s something I can teach others. Congratulations on the book!
I can let my imagination go and create anything I want to, to the best of my ability. I can escape this world and leave all of my problems behind and enter into a new adventure everyday!
I love sewing because my mother taught me to sew and she left me a lifetime of knowledge and enjoyment and now that she is gone I think about her whenever I take a stitch on my quilts I make or listen to the humming of my sewing machine and I still strive at 55 to be as good of a seamstress as she was…..
I love to sew because it brings such satisfaction that I did it myself.
I love sewing because it lets me be creative in a fun way! When my grandma taught me how to sew 5 years ago I never would have dreamed that at 16 years old I would have a small business. My friends are a little jealous that I have a fun way to make money without having to have a “real” job. One of my favorite thing is to see girls come up to my booth with a HUGE smile on their face! I will never get tired of seeing little girls be so happy when they can buy an outfit or If they find an outfit similar to one of theirs. Definetly makes me very happy that I listened to my grandma while she taught me how to sew. Makes it all worth while! And that why I love to sew.
As a little girl I would always watch my mother sew on her treadle sewing machine being one of twelve it seams like she was always fixing or making something.
I love to sewing in every way cutting the project sewing it together adding my special ideas and seeing the project finished it just thrills me to see someone open a gift that I have sewed and see that they love it puts a smile in my heart.. I love to teach little girls how to sew that way it will keep passing the art of Sewing along to the next generation I have two little neighbor girls who love to help me make clothes for their AG dolls they aren’t old enough to sew by machine yet but they are eager that just thrills me to know that I helped them get started sewing, life is great when you can pass a little of your self to someone that is eager to learn…
Thank you for the giveaway
Jennifer

I love sewing for my granddaughters that is doll clothes. It is my therapy….Cotton therapy is what I call it. For the most part it is relaxing and I get to learn at the same time.

It is my therapy. I turn to sewing when life is getting tough or when I need to spend a few minutes away from the frantic pase of life. Congratulations on the book.
I love to sew because, while I am working with fabric, I am in my element. I have always loved fabric and have been making things from it for as long as I can remember. My grandmother did beautiful handwork and taught my mother to sew. She in turn taught me and for that I am forever grateful.
It is sew relaxing and when I make something for someone I love their expression when they get something handmade!
I love to sew clothes for my daughter’s AG dolls and my Hitty and Riley dolls. It’s so satisfying to see the finished product and know I did it myself.
I love to sew because, while I am working with fabric, I am in my element. I love fabric and have making things out of it for as long as I remember. My grandmother did beautiful handwork and taught my mother to sew. She in turn taught me and for that I am forever grateful.
I love sew because I used to think, Miri, you need to buy everything. Now, though, I’ve seen your products and other places that do things using sewing. I hardly know how to sew though! I had to have my grandmother teach me, and she only taught me the basic ‘in-out’ stitch. So, this book would be very helpful to me. Now, I’m not always buy this and buy that. I want to genuinely learn to sew, and this book is perfect for me, a beginner. And every time I create something, even a poorly stitched doll dress, it gives me pride.
Can’t say I love sewing yet but I love the challenge because it doesn’t come naturally to me. I hope to finally sew well enough to be able to say “I Love Sewing” and make my granddaughters proud to say “my Grandma made it”
I love to create things with fabrics. I make doll clothes for my grandchildren and teach sewing as a special activity at the school where I teach technology. Kids are interested in learning to do things with their hands and create in the real world as well as the digital world and sewing is a way to do that.
…because it’s fun and SEW relazing
Sewing— stitching together memories of mom, grandma, great-grandma with the help of my 9-year old niece. It’s truly a tie that binds! I love using scraps and “hand me downs” and doll clothes and small projects are the perfect way to do that! Thanks for all your patterns and ideas!,
I love to sew so that I can design things the way that I want.

I love sewing because I can create something unique that no one else has, be it a dress, costume or home decor. Putting together patterns and fabrics together in infinite combinations is so inspiring! The process may not be my favorite but the fact that I created it makes it special. I would love a copy of the book even tho I have been sewing for years, there is always more to learn or a better way, thanks!

I’ve been looking forward to this book. I love everything Cinnamon does. I do just wish it wasn’t titled “Idiot’s Guide.” It makes it kind of hard to give it to a friend. No offense.
I love sewing because of the creativity, sewing with my children, and teaching others.
I love sewing because it allows me to be creative with fabric, patterns, etc.
I love sewing because I can express myself. I can mix and match fabric or a pattern and come up with something new and fun. I also love it when people ask, " Hey where did you get that?" It is always fun to respond that, " I made it myself."
I love to sew because I can make the things I see on the internet and I don’t have to pay $30 for an American girl brand outfit.
I learned to sew from my mother and several great-aunts. I love to sew because it relaxes me, it reminds me of my loved ones, and because it allows me to create items for the people I love.
I have been sewing all of my life and I love it, and still learning. Thank you for the chance to win your new book, and wishing you the best on your book.
I love sewing because as a web developer, I don’t make anything that I can hold in my hands. When I’m sewing, I have a finished product that I can touch and is useful to someone in my family.

I love sewing for my granddaughter’s and grandniece’s American Girl dolls. The Liberty Jane patterns are wonderful. I used to sew a lot a long time ago,but didn’t do much until recently when the American Girl dolls came into my life. It is a lot of fun!
I love sewing because I can make little girls happy. I am 81 and am limited in what I can do. I love making doll clothes and the little girls that get them are so happy. I collect dolls and probably have over 1,000. I can make the clothes for most of them. Since I don’t have any little girls of my own I make them for my friend’s girls.
Congratulations on your new book! I’ve just started sewing doll clothes for my granddaughters, and would love to have your new book. Thanks.
Congratulations on your new book! I’ve just started sewing doll clothes for my granddaughters, and would love to have your new book. Thanks.
I have sewn. Since my mother taught me as a child. I love sewing because I can make unique things such as my clothing , my children clothing, crafts, or now doll clothing.
I love to sew because although not perfect my little girl loves styling Kit & Ginger :)
My granddaughter loves the clothes I am learning to make for her doll. Thank you for your contests, good luck to all.
I love to sew because I’m able to provide special things for my family that I could never buy ready made.
I love creating things that are unique and one of a kind. I also love the happiness my crafting and sewing bring to others when items are given as gifts. I make everything from soft sculptured dolls, doll clothing, quilts, curtains, boutique style clothing, and basically anything that can be sewn together or held together by glue. lol. Have a great Holiday!
I love everything about sewing! It is my stress reliever!
I love fabric and creating something with it and all the possibilities. =)
I love to sew because it gives me purpose. I sew doll clothes for little girls and they are so happy with new outfits for their dolls.
I am a former homeschooling mom (26) years and also ran our home business for 30 years of the 26. I am finally getting to sew again and am making doll clothes for my granddaughter. I am hoping to start teaching as well.
I haven’t sewn for about 40 years, except to do mending, and I’ve never sewn for a doll. I would really like to have Cinnamon’s book.
I love to sew and used to help my mom when I was younger. I didn’t start sewing for myself until several years ago and started making costumes. I make costumes, clothes for adults, quilts, and American girl doll clothes.
I love sewing for several reasons.
1. It was something I shared with my grandmother, she taught me the basics. She put love in every stitch and I try to do the same with anything I make.
2. My girls love it when I make them something. There is nothing like seeing the light in a child’s eye when you hand them a new outfit or outfit for their doll.
3. It is my relaxation tool. Whether it is taking a piece of fabric and creating something with it, or upcycling something, to me, it is just magical.
I’m a self-taught beginner, and sewing gives me the opportunity to “clock out” from being full-time, stay-at-home Mom. My hubby takes over the kiddos and lets me do my thing. Sewing is the only hobby that I’ve tried and have continued to do. It’s so fun to see what I can create, and I love watching those who receive my crafts enjoy what I made for them, especially my kids.
I haven’t sewn, except to mend, for 40 years. And, I never sewed doll clothes. I would love to have Cinnamon’s book.
I like to sew because it allows both me and my twin daughters to have fun doing something together that is creative and is a great learning experience – they love coming up with ideas for outfits for their AG dolls :)
I’m not a beginning sewer, but a returning sewer who has forgotten all she knew 40 years ago. I just got an 18" doll to sew for her, then I’ll give her and her wardrobe away. But, I have no idea how to sew something that small. I always sewed clothes for myself.
I love sewing because I can take a few pieces of scrap fabric and turn it into a purse, a doll dress or what ever my imagination can come up with.
I love sewing matching clothes for my granddaughter and her American girl dolls. She is always so excited to see what I’ve made. She now wants to learn how to sew!
I love learning, and there is so much to learn about in all types of sewing.
I have been sewing for as long as I can remember. I can’t imagine not sewing! It’s so creative! I make clothes (well, not so much) doll clothes by the ton, quilts, home décor, dolls, name it – it’s such a creative release!
At 5feet on my tip toes, I learned to sew out of necessity. Now I still sew for myself (I usually take 6" off a pair of slacks) but I also sew for the love of it. Sewing doll clothes is my passion, relaxation, and therapy. A day without sewing is just unthinkable!
I love sewing because I use to sit Nd watch my grandma sew when I was around 8. She would let me sew by hand, but not on her machine. I would spend time cleaning up and organizing her threads and fabric though. When I got older, I showed her my first machine project and the pride on her face said it all!!! I haven’t stopped since.
I started sewing when I was six and then in 4H. I started with doll clothes and I still like sewing them. I have some great nieces who want to learn and I think the book would be great for them. Sewing is a wonderful gift my mother gave me. I enjoyed it then and I still do.
I’m 64 years old and just now teaching myself to sew for my granddaughters’ AG dolls. I really DON’T KNOW WHAT I’m DOING. This book would be so helpful! Your patterns are so amazing! help!
I love to sew! My mother enrolled me in sewing lessons as a child with a woman who was a local tailor. Her exacting standards and the efficiency in which she created things has always been in the back of my mind – thank you Marilyn! and Mom! I love to sew – there is nothing quite like having an original quilt, pillow case, dress or set of doll clothes for your daughter to play with.
I learned to sew through my local 4H club when I was a child. I love to sew but due to family and work situations was not able to do much for many years. i am now retired and have been making clothes for my grandchildren and their dolls. I am teaching my 11 and 7 year old granddaughters how to sew and they are learning to have fun with it like I did. I love your patterns and always check your site for new postings.
I have been sewing for a long time and started using the machine as soon as Mom thought I wouldn’t sew my fingers, about 60 years ago. I really like being able to sew for myself, family and dolls even if the fashions we want or enjoy are not currently available retail. my younger daughter is finally ready to learn to sew and I think your book will be great for her.
I love sewing because it is a part of me. I started making doll clothes when I was three. I actually sew for a living now, but love making 18 inch doll clothes because I can be creative and do what I want. It is what relaxes me…..I am teaching my 7 year old grand daughter how to sew and she is loving designing her own doll clothes.
I am going to work on making things for my granddaughter and myself.
I look forward to sewing for my family, my dolls, and my daughter’s dolls. I haven’t sewn much in the last few years, but I am setting up a sewing area and I am hopeful of learning how to sew better and to someday make doll clothes to sell.
I have been sewing for years. I learned to sew by making doll clothes and designing my own doll clothes. I’m teaching my granddaughters to sew using the Liberty Jane patterns. They are wonderful designs with clear easy directions. I love the tutorials. I can show them to the girls and they can see how the pattern pieces go together. Thank you Cinnamon.
since I’m just learning this would be a perfect giveaway to win! (please and thank you)
I don’t know why I love to sew but it is something I must do, I am compelled to sew and create and it makes me happy, I also enjoy teaching others to sew.
I have loved to sew ever since I started sewing as a young girl and taught my two daughters to sew as well. Sewing is relaxing and lets me be creative. And now, I have been begun to teach my granddaughters to sew as well – I have 15! But I have wished for a book that I could give them to use when I’m not nearby to answer questions – this looks like just the book!
Hi,
I always get excited to see an e-mail from Pixie Faire or Liberty Jane! I don’t have a good
day unless I’ve had some sewing time.
Happy Sewing to all!!
My grandmother taught me to sew when making your own clothes was a necessity. Modern life eventually pushed my sewing machine into the back of a closet; retirement has given me a renewed interest with a new sewing/embroidery machine and fancy serger. Now I’m passing the skills along to a friend’s daughter – Cinnamon’s book would be an excellent “go to” resource for her.
My mother always sewed clothes for my twin sister & me. She did it to make her budget stretch. She sewed when she was young & also during WWII, she sewed shirts for the military uniforms. We were some of the best dressed girls in school because of her great sewing skills. She taught my twin & me to sew when we were young. We made most of our clothes in high school & beyond. We even made formal wear like our prom dresses. Now we sew for my granddaughters & their AG dolls & love it. I find it very therapeutic.
I would love to have Cinnamon’s new book. It looks like it’s loaded with great information.
I’ve been sewing since I was a young girl. I find it very relaxing. I love to create what no one else has. These are just some of the reasons why I love to sew.
I love sewing because it helps me relax and forget about every thing and just have fun and be creative!
I have been sewing for 55 yrs. Both grandmothers were my teachers. I made my first quilt sitting in Granny’s lap while my cousin sat on the floor working the treadle. We did take turns at that job. Now 55 years later I am teaching my granddaughter how to sew. But not on a treadle machine. LoL I think, for me, sewing is all about family. :0)

It is one of my creative outlets. It makes me feel so good to produce a finished piece that I know is one of a kind. I just love to feel my creative juices flowing. It also helps me to keep an open mind which I find helps me be more creative. My sewing skills have also helped to bring in some extra money which I need since loosing my job to age discrimination.
