My mother sewed when I was little and use to let me do simple things to help her out. The first thing I ever mended by hand was a dress I had worn when I was 18 months old. It was then my doll’s dress. It was blue and I sewed up an “L” shaped tear on the front with brown thread. I think I was five at the time. I still sew, only now I match the thread color to the fabric. And hopefully I do a much better job. I make all sorts of clothing, even for dolls, and make a lot of crafts. I enjoy the AMG dolls and dressing them. I have several machines to do different sewing jobs. I am 67 yrs. old and I still have my picture taken wearing the dress and I also have the dress in another frame. Let’s sew!!!
Since coming across Liberty Jane on Facebook my daughter has asked me to teach her how to sow. We can’t afford the dolls clothes on a popular doll website…so this line is heaven sent. And so much nicer. Thank you Cinnamon.
I would LOVE to win a copy of your book…I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
I Love sewing because my Grandma taught my Mom, my Mom taught me and I am teaching my kids. The projects are fun to do together, but the time spent creating and sharing ideas to make something unique is priceless and something I hope they never forget!
I always look forward to learning new sewing techniques.
