Sewing A Gymnastics Themed Wardrobe Part 1

Hi Everyone! I'm excited to announce another installment in the Sewing a Themed Wardrobe series. The focus for this theme is gymnastics! This is especially fun for me because I did a lot of gymnastics as a kid and I'm reliving it through these projects and tutorials!

This course will be rolled out in 4 installments:

  • Part 1: We kick things off with a sew-along video for Shari's new pattern, the Tumbling Mat.
  • Part 2: I'm jumping in here with a sew-along video for my new pattern Malibu Libby: Hollywood Tracksuit.
  • Part 3: Shari is back with a crafty project making a set of Uneven Bars for your 18-inch dolls!
  • Part 4: We wrap it up with a DIY balance beam tutorial too!

Are you ready to jump in? Let's get started!

In Part one, Shari is here to walk us through making the Tumbling Mat. This mat is designed with every detail in mind! It has 4 sections that fold up, jsut like the real thing! You can use it flat for stretching or tumbling. You can use it spread out under the Uneven bars. You can fold it up and use it when training for a new trick on the balance beam, The possibilities are endless, providing hours of imaginary playtime!

You can find the Tumbling Mat pattern listed in the Thimbles and Acorns collection or the Gymnastics collection. We'll also be releasing the Malibu Libby Hollywood Tracksuit later this week!

Follow along in this video as Shari shows you how to make the tumbling mat.
