Sewing Machine Presser Feet - The Invisible Zipper Foot

Welcome to Part 4! Today we will take a look at the Invisible Zipper Foot. This specialty foot enables you to sew an invisible zipper with precision! An invisible zipper can be sewn with a traditional standard zipper foot, but you won't achieve the same accurately close stitch as you do with the foot designed for the specific zipper type.

I'll be demonstrating on a  Bernina 330 machine using foot #35. You can find an invisible zipper foot for a variety of machine types and at a variety of price points. Check the links below or do a quick search on sites like Amazon to see what's available.

Are you ready to dive in and see how this little foot is used? Let's go...

Follow along in the tutorial video posted below as I show you an overview, a comparison to the standard zipper foot, installation, use, and a practice project tutorial.

    Week One task:

    • If you haven't used one of these feet yet, I encourage you to pick one up and try it compared to the standard zipper foot. The result on the finished zipper is so much cleaner!
    • Jump over the SWC Facebook Group for conversation and project sharing. Show us how you used pintucks in your design. Or share tips for creating perfect pintucks with the group!

    Resource List:

Next Tuesday - It's the 5th Tuesday of the month which means recap, catch up and general Q&A. We'll pick up with new content (still on the topic of presser feet) on August 7th along with a new coupon code for the month of August, so don't forget to redeem your July code before the 31st!

Debbie, there are only 4 lessons per month. Months with 5 Tuesdays do not have a lesson on the last Tuesday. It’s called catch up day for the earlier lessons

I have been unable to use the discount code all month. I get the message:

Your cart does not meet the requirements for the FEET1807 discount code

I contacted the zen desk. It gave me an e-mail, but will not let me access the help ticket using my Pixie Faire account email and password. I ask for a new password, but do not get a password reset response to my e-mail account. Don’t know what else to try.

I’ve been unable to use my Feet 1807 code for a discount all month. Can you fix this? I renewed for the year’s coursework instead of month by month. Is this why it does not recognize me??

I am really enjoying the pressure foot videos, even though you have a different machine it gives such a great first hand look at how each foot is used, can’t wait for the gathering/ ruffle foot demo. Thanks Cinnamon
