The Liberty Jane® Clothing Tokyo Libby: Steam outfit was part of the International Collection, this original outfit was sold at auction as a One Of A Kind original design. Now you can make this steampunk inspired outfit for your 18 inch American Girl® Doll!

This pattern bundle includes the Jacket, the Skirt and the Bib Top Pattern.

The jacket pictured is made in a soft faux leather. Suggested fabrics also include ultra suede, faux suede, denim or twill. Buttons or studs add a nice detail to the fold back front. If you can’t find studs, a shank button will also work nicely.

This darling skirt with the high low hemline has a removable bustle and lace peeking out from the hemline and ruffles. The front of the skirt is shaped with inverted pleats while the back is gathered to give it just the right amount of volume. Suggested fabrics include taffeta or satin. If you can’t find a tiny lightweight lace trim, lace hem tape will also work nicely.

The Steam Bib Top will soon become one of your 18 inch doll's favorite new tops!  This darling bib front top with the tiniest tucks and buttons is accented with a peter pan collar and trimmed with delicate lace. Little puff sleeves with banded edges add a youthful feeling to this charming top.

This pattern includes several variations -

  • 1. Our cover example is made from stripped knit fabric with a lightweight woven cotton for the bib (sewn with the pin tucks) and collar.
  • 2. We have also included notes to make this top using a woven fabric for the body.
  • 3. A lace overlay bib is also an option to replace the pin tucks design and would be easier for a beginner).

So many ways to be creative with the Steam Bib Top PDF Pattern- have fun expressing yourself!
