The Meena Tunic design was created to give focus to a large skirt area on a maxi tunic. The design, by Genniewren Designs, was inspired by historical examples of Asian and Persian embroidery. The design has 5 jump stitches between the hearts as they do not join to any other part of the design. The Meena Tunic design could also be used on doll bedding, or other soft furnishings as well as being used on a skirt.
The 6x10 size was used on the tunic in the accompanying photo.

This was the first pattern I tried in my new embroidery machine and I was so pleased. I used variegated thread to experiment in my 6" x 10" hoop and the result is frameworthy! Thank you Genniewren Designs for this FREE pattern!
I have used a few of Gennie's embroidery designs. This Indian motif is perfectly scaled for her Indian Meena pattern, "MEENA - SULWAR KAMEEZ AND TUNIC DRESS". I made a mid length tunic and embroidered the dress with cotton variegated thread. Stitched out very well. If the photo posts to the review, you can see this design, plus another one go GWD's embroidery designs for the neck and sleeves.
