I still consider myself a beginner, although maybe a "kinda confident" one at this point. I purchased this slouch sweater pattern for my granddaughter's Wellie Wisher doll as well as the one sized for her American Girl doll. I thought working on the larger pattern would be easier but it turned out the 14.5" pattern won the contest due to the accurate pattern size of the sweater's band. Sometimes I feel like "easy" patterns are NOT easy, but this one was! Regarding the larger, AG slouch sweater pattern: had I not gone back to read readers' comments my experience would have been much more challenging that it could have been because the band pattern pieces, cut as directed, would have yielded a band that was significantly too short (at least in my opinion and at my skill level). My biggest take-away from this most-recent sewing experience is to ALWAYS read through readers' comments BEFORE commencing a project. Experience is a wonderful teacher, but reading the guidance/recommendations by more advanced sewers is golden! If I can figure out how to post a pic here, I will do so. Happy sewing!
Very cute pattern that pulls any outfit together and is quick to make.
