This delightful top by Seams to Streams uses a combination of knit and sheer or silky fabric to create a faux layered look with a delicate trim and a knit band across the front. The discrete sleeve trim adds an extra pop of color and contributes to the faux layered look. The back departs from the faux layered theme with an arched, pleated trim piece for a bit of flare and surprise giving the top a “hi-lo” design.
With options for short or 3/4-length sleeves, the Sheer Delight Top can be adapted to any season. Use a sweater-like knit and 3/4-length sleeves
for fall or winter, or super light knit and short sleeves for the warmer seasons. Alternate hemming instructions are provided allowing for different looks and levels of difficulty.
This pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.

- 1/8 yard sheer fabric or other silky fabric
- 1/8 yard backing for sheer fabric (optional)
Note: I used another layer of sheer fabric as backing
- 1/4 yard main fabric (knit)
- 4 1/2” by 3/8” hook and loop tape
- Fray stopping liquid (optional)
