I loved all the details in this dress! I used a combination of trims that worked together to make a really cute and unique dress. This is a little more advanced pattern, due to the number of pattern pieces and the application of different trims, but the instructions clearly explain each step. The fit of the finished dress was perfect, and I really enjoyed the challenge of this very stylish pattern.
Love it; love it; love it. Thank you.
Loved all the detail that went into this dress. The pattern was well thought out with good instructions. The only problem was sewing on the lining at the collar, there needs to be more instruction there. All in all a really great pattern.
This dress was a personal sewing challenge for me. I didn't have lace so I sewed piping into the front bodice seams. What was challenging to me was the lining around the neck/collar. I found the directions to be lacking for that. How did you sew the collar into the lining in the front, center part of the dress? The pattern photo shows it done so neatly, but I felt more photos were necessary to show how to do this properly. The instruction, "Clip at center front to within 1/8 " of point" (#17) was so confusing. Clip what? There was no photo. I ripped the seam out three times before I finally got it semi-ok. the front v-neck has a pucker that I don't like, but I can't get rid of it. Thankfully the adorably tie covers it. I doubt anyone would notice the issue, but it was bothersome to me. I am not sure I would ever make this dress again without clearer instructions for that part of the pattern. Too frustrating. I didn't have an invisible zipper, so I adjusted and did velcro down the back of the dress. The final product was beautiful. My favorite dress that I've ever created. I would attempt this pattern again if I could have clearer instructions. I would LOVE a video tutorial on it. :) Thank you for the free pattern! I learned a lot sewing this detailed, little piece.
