my biggest sewing challenge is working with knits and leather i find it very hard to work with
My biggest sewing challenge is doing the finishing details like sewing on snaps and buttons. I’d rather just be done.
I love to sew, I try to find time each day to sew for a couple of hours. You can accomplish great things with consistent efforts.
My biggest challenge is sewing stretchy fabrics-I always expect things to turn out perfectly and just can’t get that with knits!!
My biggest sewing challenge is deciding which project I should work on. My creative mind goes much faster than my sewing machine!
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the fabric, trim, etc that I want for a project!
My biggest challenge is working with silky, slippery fabrics.
My biggest sewing challenge is not allowing myself enough time to get a project done.
My biggest sewing challenge is accurately cutting out doll clothes.
My biggest sewing challenge is zippers; very discouraged by 20 tries during a sewing class.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding fabric to scale for doll clothes.
My biggest sewing challenge right now is time… and fabric!! Not many second hand options for shopping fabric in my area.
My biggest challenge in sewing is button holes but also getting started. I love picking out a project but don’t always get to the actual doing a project.
..time.
Myy biggest sewing challenge is definitely working with knits. Combine an old (60s-70s sewing machine that refuses to zigzag and is questionable on stretch stitch with a recent transition from hand sewing to machine during lockdown and I guess you see the problem!
As with so many these days, my biggest challenge is finding time to see.
My biggest sewing challenge is wanting to make everything I see but not having enough hours in the day or my life to do it all. I just love making things!
My biggest sewing challenge is inserting zippers, I can’t make it nice.
My biggest challenges finishing a project before starting the next!
My biggest sewing challenge is a place to sew that is uncluttered, that I don’t have to move a hundred things to get to mu sewing area
My biggest sewing challenge has to be working with stretch fabrics. I’ve definitely improved, but they take me significantly longer to sew than cottons or non stretchy fabrics. Another challenge has to be actually finding the time to sit down and sew.
My biggest sewing challenge is working with slippery and delicate fabrics.
My biggest sewing challenge is finishing. I’m good at starting projects, I’ll get excited, get a few days to work dedicatedly on something. Then something else comes up, I put the project down, and I’m no longer excited about it the next time I have time to finish. Maybe it’s past the season or holiday the outfit is for, maybe I’m just tired and don’t want to sew.
my biggest challenge is finishing my project.
My biggest sewing challenge is getting my mind to stop coming up with new ideas while sewing the current project.
My biggest sewing challenge is being brave enough to learn how to use the previously loved serger that was given to me.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to complete a project.
My biggest challenge is unfinished projects resulting in cluttered space! I am always starting new projects and putting others aside which makes my sewing space cluttered!
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing on thick fabrics or seams. The tension on my presser foot doesn’t seem to adjust correctly. I don’t know if I need a new machine or if I am doing something wrong.
I love to sew but need projects. Doll clothes for my great-granddaughter is a fun way to spend time.
My biggest sewing challenge is time! Stay at home mommy here 😊 I know it’s just a season of life and I want to spend time with my kiddos and sew as I have time.
My biggest challenge is setting aside time to sew. And because I wear glasses another challenge is seeing well enough to sew. Sometimes I need to use a magnifier.
First of all finishing what I start, and right now finding any time to sew at all :(
Items that are smaller than 3 inches wide as in doll purses etc. but always welcome challenge !!!
My biggest sewing challenge presently is sharing my space! During the pandemic my daughter has made herself quite comfortable doing her own crafting in my sewing room. While I feel invaded, I do not want to discourage her from being creative and using her hands to make something instead of scrolling on a screen.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to sew up my unfinished sewing projects.
My biggest sewing challenge is having a long enough block of time to spend on a project.
My biggest challenge is finding the specific fabric I want.
My biggest sewing challenge is making button holes. I have tried following sewing tips from SWC, tend to make a great test button hole but make a mess when doing one on my garment. Making small doll size ones is very challenging .
My biggest sewing challenge is taking the time to do it
My biggest sewing challenge is finding the time to sew—- everything else always seems more important to do than my “creative” projects.
My biggest sewing challenge is relearning all of the things I used to know how to sew. I need to practice sewing with zippers and buttonholes. It is hard to be motivated sometimes picking what to work on.
My biggest sewing challenge is trying to create my own clothes. I have sewn doll clothes for many years and can make a pattern for any doll, but making clothes for myself is still quite the challenge.
My biggest sewing challenge is sleeves and knits.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding plus size patterns with good design. Altering them to get a good fit is usually very difficultl
Right now my biggest challenge is learning how to use the buttonhole attachment on my sewing machine. It’s on my to-do list for this new year. I’m not a fan of Velcro as it has a tendency to snag doll hair and more delicate fabrics, so I’ve been sewing snaps on most of the doll clothes I make.
My biggest challenge is getting the time to work on projects and complete them.
My biggest sewing challenge is the special materials: like silk and flimsy materials and knits. Also buttonholes are a challenge.
Sewing with knits. My work never look professional, plus I don’t have and don’t want to invest in a serger to finish the edges.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with knits. Ugh, how I hate that fabric. It stretches more than it should, it slips and slides, and looks nothing like that pattern. And staying focused is the equally challenging dilemma. I need to leave my phone outside the house so it’s not tempting to read the news or look on Pinterest for new ideas. (I don’t do social media so that’s not a time eater).
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing zippers.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to work on my projects. Being a mom and working makes it hard to find time for my hobby.
My biggest challenge is trying to find fabrics and notions online. Only “local” shops are 1 1/2 hours or more away and those are box stores with leftovers or quilt shops. Trying to have a sewing machine serviced is 2 1/2 hours, if the person is available and a second trip to pick the machine up. Plus those distances are one way.
My biggest sewing challenge is time!!!!
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing the tiny openings on doll clothes, arthritic fingers don’t work so well!
My biggest sewing challenge is time. I hate to get everything out for a project only to have to put it all away before its finished because life needs me more than my project.
Sewing tiny things with big hands
My biggest sewing challenge is working with stretchy fabrics like knits. I’m not sure if it’s my machine tension or something that I’m doing that they don’t always work out for me.
My biggest sewing challenge is making buttonholes. They have always been challenging and even more so with doll clothes.
My biggest sewing challenge is putting the lining in coats and jackets. I am just not very adept at hand sewing!
I’d say slippery fabrics and trims like piping.
My biggest sewing challenge is working with specialty fabrics … I have no problem with cottons and knits, but faux leather and slippery silky fabrics intimidate me! I’m determined to get brave and master those.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with bias binding. I used to make bags where I work with wider bias binding. To use bias binding in dolls clothes are a little bit scary for me.
My main challenge is to be able to sew without back pain! The next one is to master my embroidery machine.
My biggest sewing challenge is buttonholes, I had a really Great sewing machine, that did the best buttonholes, even on knitted clothes, but since it broke down, nothing has ever been the same, nothing works on any fabric and I have three sewing machines of different makes.., nothing is like my first that is 50 years old
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing knit fabrics – the thread keeps skipping so I have uneven stitching. Thanks for these contests. Happy New Year!
My buggest sewwing challenge is maki g anythingg with knit fabric. Just can’t get a nice seam.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with velvet and lining it with satin. No matter how many pins I use, it slips.
My biggest sewing challenge has been sewing with Minky fabrics. My grandson loves the fabric, but it is not fun sewing with it. It creeps and crawls even when you have hundreds of pins in it.
My biggest sewing challenge is fear, I use to be excellent but due to a chronic illness, I can’t sew as well as I use to. Sometimes I don’t try because I worry about the results.
My main sewing challenge is to be able to sew without back pain! Too many years at the sewing machine I guess!
My biggest sewing challenge is definitely buttonholes. Even with a top of the line sewing machine I still mess them up
My biggest sewing challenge is getting zippers in, that look good in garments.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding good quality fabric. The only shops close to me are Joann’s and Michaels. Quilt shops only offer good quality cotton. I can’t find wool and silk except online.
My biggest sewing challenge is actually all the projects that I have in mind!
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with knits! Even using a walking foot I can never get nice flat seams.
Sewing fleece gives me the fits!
My biggest sewing challenge is putting in zippers that look nice when finished and buttonholes, especially tiny ones on doll clothesl
My biggest sewing challenge is setting sleeves properly
My biggest challenge is working some of the finer details with my big fingers. Any tool suggestions?
My biggest challenge is choosing the fabrics I want to use for a project.
Sewing with knits and specialty fabrics.
Small curves! My biggest challenge is getting that nice even curve when sewing around items such as a collar!
My biggest sewing challenge is motivation!
My biggest challenge is sewing through my fabric stash to make room for new fabric.
My biggest sewing challenge is knit material starts. I always seem to get it stuck in the machine. I don’t know what I am doing wrong.
My biggest sewing challenge is finding time to sew.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing knit fabric!
My bigges sewing challenge is using the serger—no confid
ence.
My biggest sewing challenge is maneuvering through tiny arm and neck holes for sleeves and collars
My biggest sewing challenge is underestimating how long it will take me to complete a big sewing project.
Finding notions appropriate for the doll scale.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing with knits. I always seem to mess uo somehow, even when carefully following directions.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing any kind of knit. I’m fine with woven fabrics, but knits make me crazy. Even making a simple doll tee shirt becomes a profanity laced excursion of frustrated incompetence!
My biggest sewing challenge is remembering how to do things I’ve already learned about sewing but only rarely use. Relearning the same skill uses up time I could devote to creating.
My biggest challenge is sewing swimsuits with 4 way stretch fabric. (Which I avoid at all cost. )
My biggest sewing challenges are 1: Not having the time I want to spend sewing. Seems like there is always something that needs to be done instead of doing what I want to be doing. And 2: Buttonholes! I will do anything to avoid making buttonholes! I will hand sew snaps to avoid buttonholes. I have had three different sewing machines since my original one died and NEVER made a buttonhole with them!
My biggest sewing challenge is applying bias tape around curves.
My biggest sewing challenge is sewing perfectly with knits
