shop for fabric remnants every time we stop at our local shopping center. It totally drives my husband crazy

The hardest thing to find is small size zippers. The only good part of that is I stink at.sewing in zippers, so I will often alter patterns to use any other closure I can be it hook and I and sewing the seam higher or Velcro . Obviously I haven’t been able to do the bomber jackets because it really needs the zipper for a good leather bomber. I keep the extra fabric from all my non-doll projects (human clothes etc)as well as remnants that I pick up from the clearance rack that caught my eye and all the. Extra trims etc (and even a few favorite textured items that are no longer wearable, like soft jeans that we tore the knees out of) in 2 large tubs on wheels under my work table. This is our creative station. It serves for doll clothes as.well as costume making and quilt pieces. And almost every fabric in the box has a story. We’ve been able to find many things between Hobby Lobby or. Joanna’s. After working with miniature doll houses.for many years I have discovered that lots of things can have alternative uses if you just look at them from a different perspective
I shop for doll making notions at Home Sew.
I shop for doll supplies at Wal Mart or at second hand stores. On baby clothes. Bathing suit for doll swim suit material. That worked good for me.
