I live in a small Country Town in South Africa, so the Internet and Online Shopping is where I mostly shop. It is an expensive and lengthy endeavor but which I gladly make when finding what I need to finish off that special doll outfit that is in my head.
*Expensive – because our (Rand) does not perform as well as other Countries’ on the International Monetary exchange ie Dollar / Pound / etc. … AND … Shipping and Custom Costs have to be taken into account as well.
*Lengthy – because you have to patiently wait for these items to arrive
So if you do not want / not able … to buy online you find a way of Creating yourself ‘that’ which you need (for example … I make my own tiny buttons from coloured plastic bottles and paper punches or from different plastics that shrink (up-cycling)

I have the hardest time finding the very thin Velcro. Regular Velcro seems so thick, especially for the smaller Wellie Wishers dolls.
I shop at JoAnn’s as this is the only fabric store in my area. I have never seen zippers for dolls but wish they had them. Buttons are bought on line. Would love to find a website for accessories.
I shop for just about all doll notions and material at Joann Fabric.
