My favorite sewing tip is press seams open to make things lay flat.
My favourite tip/s have been mentioned over and over here but I’ve learned quite a few new ones. Thanks. So my new tip: never think you know it all; there’s always something new which makes sewing a little better. Thank goodness for the Internet.
My favourite sewing trip is to MEASURE before you sew!
My favorite sewing tip or trick is twofold: measure before cutting and iron/press as you go.
When making garments, whether for dolls or others, make sure you measure the body to ensure a good fit. Not all dolls are created the same size. It’s easy to follow pattern pieces but tough to only guess they will fit.
Pressing as you go saves time in the long run. When you iron, you make it easier to fit the pieces of your project together. Pattern pieces look better when seamed together smoothly.
My favorite tip is to take your time and enjoy your work. It’ll make your work better and you’ll feel great about it when you’re done.
