I’ve been seeing for almost 60 years and my favorite sewing tip is reading all these!
I make a Luna Lovegood tweed coat – Pixie Faire peacoat pattern (for my Etsy shop) and tweed is so hard to work with – I found using a featherweight fusible interfacing really helps and the buttonholes are only possible by sewing over with tissue paper and then pulling it away after the buttonhole is made :) works wonderfully!
My favorite tip for doll clothes is to avoid using velcro if you don’t like it snagging the doll’s hair or the fabric. Use snaps instead, and if desired, sew buttons on the outside. For dresses, make them fully open in the back so that young children can more easily dress their dolls on their own.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is….well I don’t feel I’m qualified to give any tips or tricks but I sure do enjoy and appreciate reading others. That gives me new tools in my belt, thanks.
My favorite sewing tip is using a piece of tape to mark as a seam guide on my machine. My vision isn’t as good as it used to be and I can’t always see the machine markings.
