My favorite sewing tip actually involves making shoes. I always cut out little triangles from the seam allowance before turning the shoe over the sole to glue it. This is especially important when working with vinyl, multiple layers of fabric or heavy fabric. I always get a nice smooth sole line. It also helps to use the purchased soles as they are nice and smooth.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is To wear an apron with big pockets to carry scissors; measuring tape and other sewing supplies to have with you as you move around while sewing.
My favorite sewing trick is to store bobbins with pony tail holders around them in small medicine bottles.
My favorite sewing tip is to start early enough to not have to hurry at the end and try to take shortcuts that end up taking more time because of all the unpicking I do.
My favorite sewing tip or trick is to sew with Grandma and let her teach me.
