My favorite sewing tip or trick is to cut out two items at the same time. Why make one at a time, cut out two dresses at a time by pinning two fabrics together.
My favorite tip is to cut the top thread at an angle. Then thread the needle.
My favorite sewing trick is…when you need elastic do not cut it from the yardage right away. Measure what you will need & mark the length. For a thread casing, just tack one end & sew your zig zag over the flat elastic. When you get to the end of the sleeve/waist/whatever pull the elastic thru to the mark, tack it down & then cut the elastic. No working with small awkward pieces of elastic
Best thing I like about pixie fair is even though I’ve been sewing for a very long time I always learn new things every time I read new articles. Thank you for teaching me every day a little bit more than what I knew.
My favorite sewing trick is using elastic to make even gathers.. Thin elastic is a wonderful thing, No basting threads to pull. No shifting gathers.
