My favourite tip is to stick the needle packet to the side of the machine with blutak. That way i won’t forget what kind of needle is in the machine.
My favorite sewing trick is using Kam-snaps on many of the doll clothes where Velcro might have been used. I can’t help it—I love the things, especially the shapes.
I keep by my sewing machine a magnet wand to pick up straight pins that may have fallen on floor. Or if I was to spill my pin quick pick up.
Remove pins as I go so that I don’t miss any when the item is finished.
When cutting out atterns, I like cutting multiples out of different fabric and placing in a large baggy and then when I have extra time, I can grab one and sew it up, no cutting.
