Lately, I am having the hardest time finding small scale outerwear fabrics. I am tired of sewing with plain standard colours. I am thankful for the online community for almost all of my supplies.
I shop for small print fabrics at ConnectingThreads.com and equilter.com
I shop for fabric, etc at local stores and online whenever possible. My biggest problem with online fabric shopping is getting an accurate idea of the scale of the print. Toss a freaking bobbin on there, a coin, a barbie ANYTHING so that I can get a feel for the scale of the print! I’ve gone to quilt stores for their large variety of small scale prints; but doesn’t solve the problem with finding a good knit or brocade.
I shop for doll items at Fabricland occasionally but usually end up using fabric scraps I have on hand or old clothing items.
I have the hardest time finding small cotton print for the 18 inch dolls.
