Living in farming country, we have nothing for sewing, not even convenience store with thread! Any fabric stores here have all closed and the closest is at least 2-3 hr away.
I have a hard time finding small buttons and notions as well as small print fabric. I like to shop the remnants bins!
I shop for fabrics mainly in my stash, I agree it is hard to find the tiny notions. I recently retired and am enjoying making doll clothes for my granddaughter.
Love sewing for the 18" doll – and since I have no one to sew for, I donate. I shop my stash, as well as antique and thrift stores for unusual fabrics and trims. The upholstery section of fabric store offers great choices.
I have the hardest time finding reasonably priced hair brushes for AG dolls. I do a lot of charity sewing and like the dolls to have their own sleeping bag, fabric tote and all the clothes. But their hair gets so messy so I like to send a brush in with them. wish a sewing supplier would sell them!
