I shop for the majority of my fabric for doll clothing at an online site thru Facebook and thrift stores. I have the hardest time finding appropriate size buttons and specialty fabrics such as corduroy or fabric I can use for pants, jumpers and jumpsuits (don’t always want denim blue jeans).
I “shop” for fabrics in my house… my GD’s outgrow clothes very quickly, both in size and in style. As I get those items in the discard pile, I look to see what I can use and that gives me new ideas. Just yesterday I stuffed a leotard and a tie-died hoodie into MY box. Right now, I am having the hardest time finding a variety of patterns that fit my Gotz doll well. The choices are few. I am adjusting both crochet and sewing patterns but some days I just want to make something and have it fit the first time.
i have been making been making ag doll clothes for 5 years i have learned to to cut zippers down to fit. i find fabric at Walmart and at yard sales. sometimes i find old clothes i love to make clothes out of odd material i would love the patterns
I have a hard time buying separating doll zippers. I found some on zipperthatdoll.com
I have the hardest time finding doll sized notions (buttons, zippers, grommets, etc)
