I always keep my eyes open for doll scale fabrics and notions. I can find basic buttons at the local craft stores but have a hard time finding tiny decorative ones. I also search for narrow decorative laces. So far my best sources have been eBay, Etsy and antique stores.

I live in a small town and have trouble finding fabric with small scale prints, especially knits. And fabric websites do not always show a ruler next to the print so that I can tell what size the print is.

I also have a hard time finding buttons in the size and colors I want. I buy ribbon and lace in bulk amounts of 50-100 yds. Almost all supplies I use have to be through online shopping since closest stores are 1 1/2 hours away. Since today’s giveaway is from Homesew I hope it’s ok to say I get my snaps from them in bulk.

I have a hard time finding more of what I found at estate sales. I didn’t realize when I first started sewing and getting all that wonderful stuff for cheap (much of it in the unopened packaging with original prices of only pennies), that they may not make it anymore or at least sell it here at our little Joann’s. I definitely can’t find the low low prices at the store on the few things they do still carry.
