My passion is doll clothes.currently I’m working on 10" Ann Estelle clothes for a group I’m in. I have MS, I used to love to knit, but I can no longer control the needles. I still crochet. I spent 30 years making doll clothes for the salvation Army toy shop. I also have a passion for making felt Christmas stockings with applicate. I have made over 15, for each of my children and grand children, and a few friends. I can still hand sew.which I enjoy too. I do not sell my things. Happy New Year!
I sew as a hobby. I love making AG doll clothes and doing machine embroidery. I can’t wait to try the designs to combine both. I have not spent much time sewing because of my job as a nurse. I just retired last week and can’t wait to start “playing in my craft/sewing room”. I mostly just give away the things I make.

I am a psychotherapist and sewing is my therapy! I have recently enjoyed quilting over garment sewing, (since my body shape has been demanding more and more fussing for fit, as I have aged.) I enjoy setting my iPod to “shuffle” and sewing away…using either machine in my sewing room! Doll clothes are fun, the dolls wait patiently for the next outfit, and never complain about trying them on.

I sew with a wonderful group of ladies that provide 18” dolls, a complete handmade wardrobe, a doll quilt, pillow and pillow case all packed in a handmade tote to little girls that have been brought in for examination because they have been sexually abused. I knit, sew, and crochet, as well as other crafts.! Knitting is my favourite and I knit most evenings. I don’t like sitting down with nothing to do. Like most crafters in also spend far too much time and money “collecting “ materials for my crafts.

I crochet primarily as a hobby, on average, I spend two or three hours a week crocheting.
I also crochet as stress relief, earlier in the year I participated in a few “join-alongs” in one of my Ravelry groups and made a 16 piece wardrobe for my mini-Saige and a few outfits for my mini-Melody using free patterns on Ravelry. I “shopped” my stash of crochet thread and had a lot of fun with the project.

This summer, by chance, an 18" doll from Daisy Kingdom was handed down to me which sent me on a quest for doll clothes patterns. That’s when I found Pixie Faire and that’s where the madness began. I’m have a new obsession and now own one Our Generation and three previously loved American Girls.

My mom taught me to knit when I was very young. She also sewed so I learned that too. Grandma was a crafter so I seem to try it all. I spend every chance I have knitting some times not doing the cleaning. But life is to short and projects are much more fun.
