We are working hard on the content for our latest class - The Couture Sewing Academy! It goes "live" on April 1st, (no joke). So to help launch it with some fun and enthusiasm we thought we'd do a comment contest.

“I want to learn couture techniques just for the sake of learning! Knowledge is truly power
I want to learn couture techniques so that the ballet costumes I make will be closer to the ones used by one of the local ballet companies—a non-profit for which my husband and I do a raffle package for every year (doll, costume wardrobe, ballet barre…).
I want to learn couture techniques so that I can translate pictures of garment designs into perfectly fitted garments with that extra touch of class that turns a good design into an extra-ordinary garment. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time, but with our exchange rate presently at R12 to $1, I couldn’t afford to purchase.
I want to learn the proper way to do couture sewing techniques. Because right now I just kind of wing it in my head! I have 8 daughters and 10 granddaughters and would LOVE to make gifts for them!
“I want to learn couture techniques so I can put the finishing touches on my sewing so I have that professional look”. It would be a great opportunity to learn new skills and hone the ones I already have!!. Little people deserve top of thin beautiful outfits.
