We are working hard on the content for our latest class - The Couture Sewing Academy! It goes "live" on April 1st, (no joke). So to help launch it with some fun and enthusiasm we thought we'd do a comment contest.

I would love to learn couture culture and starting out “small” would be the very best for me. Pixie Faire has been the absolute best for learning how to make cute clothes for my granddaughters’ dolls. Now to take it to a new level and go above and beyond ordinary – take me away please!!
I want to learn couture techniques so I can design and sell wonderful doll clothes I want to sell so much that I can donate some clothes for charity and to donate other sewn items to charity. I used to make Barbie clothes for toys for tots and loved the reaction I got for my donations Unfortunately my income decreased when I became depressed and disabled, so I could not afford the fabric and yarn I needed. Now that I am on etsy and ebay, I hope to have extra income to buy fabric to donate finished goods to charity. I want the donated and sold clothes to be of top quality since the recipients of donated clothes deserve to feel they deserve good quality things.
I want to learn couture techniques so my dream of being self-sufficient becomes more likely. I also want to learn ’cos I love learning sewing things full-stop (I am a nerd!), and because I love making beautiful things with finesse. I am starting to sew more for Blythe, Byul, and smaller dolls, and I think the couture techniques look great on these dolls. I also want to improve/conquer some of my bad “homemade” finishes (especially with endings of ribbons, hems, etc.).
I want to learn couture techniques so I can make a silk purse of a sow’s ear.
I tried the first day of the announcement to get in, but the website may not have been functional yet. Then I went to the hospital for major, major cancer surgery. I was hoping to take the class to help myself heal and to polish my techniques. I really, really hope another is offered soon.
