I want to learn couture techniques so that I can learn a new skill and broaden my sewing experience
I want to learn couture techniques in memory of a wonderful aunt who game me a Christmas present of two yards of a beautiful plaid wool when I was twelve. I was just learning to sew and was awestruck by the beauty of her garments, as perfect on the inside as on the outside. Homemade in the best sense and something to strive for.
I love new and, creative ways for creating doll clothes. I am especially interested in converting how to get away from Velcro closers. The children that we make the special off its for should be able to tie ,button or, use a zipper.
This is a great opportunity to gain some knowledge and,use your creativity.
I have two family members with Special need children. I use the patterns I purchase here and get free to make clothes for their dolls. If I could learn the couture techniques I would hopely be able to make more professional looking clothes that I could sale and give the funds to my family memebers to help towards the child care for these lovely special children.
I want to learn couture techniques so I don’t struggle so much with patterns. My mother taught me the basics of seeing along with my home ec teacher in junior high but I’ve never progressed beyond the very basics. I’m especially hoping to learn something to help me with darts.
