i am so thankful to have helped raise our three grandchildren after their mother died. she was our only girl, and she left behind three little kids. they were at the time 4, 2 1/2 and a 6 month old baby. the are grown now, 20, 18 and 16 and have turned into the most amazing your adults. the “baby” is even a national honor society member. proud grandma that i am, i know it is because of both our God, and and the talent that he gave me to use my hands to help mold these young people into who they are today—that even includes teaching each one of them to sew—using doll patterns so they can be independent.
This year we lost 3 of our loved ones. My older brother who suffered 50 years from mental illness, my Mother-in-law who was 89 and we blessed to see her this passed Spring one last time, and my son-in-laws Grandma who raised him. She was the sweetest little thing. I am very thankful to have had these treasures in my life.
I’m Thankful for my VERY supportive family and having today and every day I have now. With going through surgery, chemo and radiation, it makes you look at each day differently. I am so very thrilled each day I wake up and look forward to every minute of it and being with family.
I’m thankful for a joyful retirement life…now I have time to make doll clothes!
I’m thankful for family, friends and the wonderful world that we live in.
