The Check Dress For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl: She was all set to leave for the day - but I made her run through the list one last time anyway. Wallet - check. Phone - check. Library books - check. Good attitude - check. Fabulously smashing frock -check? - check! Yes, that was the works. Beaming a smile, she turned and skipped out the door, into the noise of the city. Treat your 18” doll to this girly, yet elegant, frock - perfect for running errands around town or studying at the library. The unique design lines and extreme dropped waist combine beautifully with the short skirt, and tiny pleats in the sleeve cap add a vintage touch. The “Check” PDF Pattern works best when made from lightweight cotton shirting, chambray, or lawn; the Fall 2012 collection original was made from silk dupioni. For lining, any lightweight cotton or poly lining will work nicely - or turn up the glamour and use silk!

I love the “Check” dress.
Love the SanRemo dresses. Can hardly wait to start sewing!
Thank you so much for the San Remo pattern! I’ve waited on this one so long…… of course I just bought 5 others to go with it! LOL Happy sewing everyone!
Thanks for today’s San Remo pattern for the AG dolls. It is much appreciated.
Mary Margaret. :o)
It’s the Check dress for me!
I love the check! dress for American Girl. There are so many possibilities with fabrics. Second vote is for AG San Remo dress which is contemporary and edgy.
San Remo for the AG doll. … fingers crossed… : )
Thank you for the opportunity ,I enjoy sharing this with my grandaughter.
San Remo of course!
Check! please. I love it, I love it. My mother made me one when I was 12 that was almost like Check with the drop waist at the hip. yippee, please choose CHECK.
Thank you for all the freebies Friday patterns. Check dress of course.
You ladies are both so talented! I would love to try the Check pattern.
Check out that snazzy ‘Check’ dress, it gets a BIG ✅ from me for the third time…lol Thanks so much, God Bless!
I only sew for AG dolls. so I’ll vote for the Check dress. Thank you very much for the free patterns. They have gotten me started sewing for my granddaughter.
Check dress gets my vote this week! I am not a fan of strapless dresses for AG dolls. Thank you!
San Remo dress for AG. I will be inserting straps before I sew the top seam so they are enclosed. I can see modified spaghetti straps, fancy trim that goes with the dress fabric & maybe using the same trim as a belt, or even a wider strap slightly gathered at the sewn in places. Sorry—I’m an older lady & just can’t see strapless anything on dolls that are supposed to be turning 10 on their next birthdays.
Thanks always for the freebies! I can use any except the Ellowyne one as I haven’t invested (yet) in one of those—but SHE could wear a strapless wonderfully! Safe trip to you all too!
Thank you girls again for another great pattern which ever one it turns out to be. God Bless
San Remo dress for the 18 inch American Girl Doll
Check dress! It’s so cute! All the designs are great though and thank you for Freebie Friday!
San Remo.
I chose the San Remo for the Elloywne Wilde doll. My girls have gotten into the BJD dolls which are more to the size of the Elloywne doll so I’m interested to see if this size pattern will work for that! It’s so cute!
I chose AG San remo. I’ve been wanting the CHECK dress for some time. I only sew “modest” styles as the dollies’ moms only wear modest styles.
I can see making sleeved tops to wear under or over the san remo AG dress to change a strapless dress to “appropriately modest”.
I am glad to see that the dolls other than AG are included… and I only sew for AG dollies at this time, but it would be nice if the weekly freebie included all of the doll styles.
thank you Cinnamon and Melody and Val for your generosity in offering Freebie Friday.
I voted for the San Remo pattern. I am thankful for any of AG ones but this wks choices look so hard. I hope I will be able to sew them. I am way behind on all the projects so far. But glad you are offering these free patterns. Thank you.
Check dress please. Love it

Sam Reno for American Girl
I always vote for the Check dress when it comes up! I love the cute skirt and top!
I voted for check but I would be delighted with either AG dress pattern. Thank you so much for your generosity. I look forward to freebie Friday every week and can’t wait to try see what’s next?
I pick the CHECK dress. I already bought the San Remo dress and it makes up beautifully. It turned out just like the picture and had directions for great techniques to do the lining. The Check dress is unusual and will be fun to figure it out. Since most of your audience is American Girl pattern buyers, I hope you pick one that fits the 18" dolls.
I’m really hoping for the San Remo dress for the American Girl 18" doll this week. So many possibilities for this pattern. Thanks for the chance to vote.
Love the CHECK DRESS!!!

Having another great MVC creation would be FUN ! Any winner is a blessing , to add to my 91 PF patterns. :D Thank you again.
It is always so hard to choose. Your patterns are all so fun! I’m casting my vote this week to the San Remos Strapless Dress for American Girl dolls. . . but Check is just as cute! I hope they both get chosen at some point. No matter what the winning design is this week, we are all so blessed that you share so generously. Thank you once again. To Cinnamon, Jason and your whole entourage headed to Zambia — God’s speed, good wishes, and heartfelt prayers go your way. Stay safe and well, and have another successful trip.

I voted for the San Remo for the American Girl doll. I do like the thought of a denim jumper. Also it’s been noted that there could be numerous veriations. Thank you for the chance to chime in with our opinions. It really is fun!
I would really like to have the San Remo dress for the American Girl doll. I would like to try putting the bling on it. I need some more information on how to do that but think it would be pretty even without the bling.
