Freebie Friday, (June 19, 2015), Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (June 19th, 2015) we'll have one of the following patterns available for free from Cinnamon Miles.

More About Cinnamon and Liberty Jane Clothing: Cinnamon is the co-founder of Liberty Jane Clothing and Pixie Faire. She's also the co-founder of Sew Powerful, a charity focused on combating extreme poverty through sewing and tailoring programs. She strives to design on-trend clothing made to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® and other doll types too. Help us decide which one of these fun patterns should be free by voting below. Then come back to Pixie Faire on Friday to see which pattern won and get the free download.

Here is more information about each pattern:

The Cut-Off Jeans For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: Every American Girl deserves a trendy pair of cut off shorts!  Now you can give her what she needs with this easy to follow PDF pattern. Shorts are designed with functional front and back pockets, an elastic waist and a raw edge frayed hem. This pattern is also available bundled with 3 other stlyes in the Liberty Jane Jeans Bundle Pattern.

The California Cami For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: The Liberty Jane CA Cami PDF Pattern features a cute top from the Malibu Libby Collection. This versatile pattern includes many variations! Two strap styles give you the choice of either enclosing the entire armscye with binding or simply attaching a shorter strap from the front to back bodice. We've also included a dress length option so you can make a kneelength or maxi style dress an wow your friends!  Because the 18 inch soft boddied dolls can vary in their amount of stuffing, we've designed this top to be sewn using a knit fabric (which allows for a bit of stretch in the fit) for the bodice and a lightweight woven or knit fabric with soft drape for the ruffle portion. You can make the entire dress out of a woven fabric, but we'd suggest checking the fit of the bodice first if you think you might have a doll with a bust measurement larger larger than 10-3/4".

The Rash Guard For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: The Liberty Jane rash guard and swim short PDF pattern is perfect for any 18 inch doll that is ready for some warm weather fun! Create surf style for your doll! Pattern includes the full outfit - both the top and the boy cut shorts. Fabrics used are two way stretch lycra spandex. You can make a lot of different color combination’s. The shorts also work great for dance shorts!

The Off The Shoulder Tee For 18 Inch Dolls Such As American Girl®: The Liberty Jane Off the Shoulder Tee 18 inch Doll Clothes PDF Pattern. This top was featured in the 2011 Fall Collection. This top is easy to make and sewing with knit fabrics in this design is not complicated at all!  It is designed to hang loose and be layered over a tank top.

I vote for the California Cami, but the off-shoulder tee is also cute. I agree with the other gals who are inquiring about the personal use needs. Just give us a list of materials or directions and a lot of us would be glad to help. Your generosity is overwhelming and I for one would love to help in any way possible!!!!!!

I just love Freebie Friday but I already have all the patterns that are up this week. I love all that you have and are doing for the women in Zambia. I also would like to get a pattern and list of materials to help make the personal care reusable pads to send with you next year, if that would be possible. I would love to help out and be a part of this on going experience.

I have all the patterns except the surfer top and shorts, so they got my vote. Just wanted to say Thank You! Your company is awesome and the work you do through Sew Powerful is amazing. The Lord blesses people so they can be a blessing to others, and you are a great example of this.

All the patterns are awesome, I have bought a few and downloaded a few free ones. The ones I have sewn so far are truly wonderful. I was so happy when a recent Google search for patterns for BFC Inc Dolls lead me to your website. Now my girl is dressed to the nines. I will be buying more pattern soon. Thank you.

I have all of these already thanks to freebie friday or buying them. I do want to thank you all for the blessed work you do for the people of Zambia. I would really like to get the pattern or information on making the feminine products so I could send them with the purses. Also if you could give me an idea of the best size of underwear to buy, I would like to send some of them too. May God bless all of you at Pixie Faire.

I voted for the cut-off shorts even though here in Upper Michigan we really haven’t had any heat yet—but hopefully it’s coming! I loved your report/photos on your recent trip—you’re helping so much including teaching people how to help themselves. Do you think we could get the pattern & list of materials to help you make the girls’ personal care reusable pads for your next trip? Thanks for all your freebies to us too!

To CD regarding denim fabric: Just look at your family’s cast off jeans or stop into a thrift shop or a garage sale and find some jeans in denim you like, in the largest size you can find. Presto—jean fabric for doll clothes for free or only a dollar or two, already softened up. You can use unusual details from them too like embroidery to make your doll clothes personalized.

Thank you for the patterns you offer to us! I will be visiting my granddaughter in Albuquerque next week and will be taking her some of your patterns as a gift as well as a Josefina I have restored. She will be 10 in August and is very interested in learning to sew and crochet. Thank you for helping make this all possible. I voted for the cutoffs but am grateful for whatever you offer.
