More About Craig Sharp and Sharp Dressed Dolls Patterns, (in his own words): "I currently live in a pastoral community in southern Tennessee. My mother worked in the garment industry since she joined the force and my father worked as a sewing machine mechanic, one could say sewing is in my blood. My first job at the age of 16 was working in the cutting room of a garment manufacturing company.
I began sewing for children when my youngest niece, Hailey was born. I always made her coordinating church dolls to go with the outfits that I designed for her. Soon, I submitted my first pattern to Sew Beautiful Magazine, an international periodical. Since that time many of my designs and editorials have been featured in Martha Pullen’s magazines and heirloom doll clothing books. I have taught doll fashion and heirloom sewing at many fabric shops and clubs around the middle Tennessee area."
To celebrate the holidays, Craig is graciously offering The Mary Pattern as a free download.
More About The Mary Dress Pattern: Mary is a double-breasted waistline dress with two distantly different looks. The diamond dress has a diamond shaped cutout back, sleeve and hem. The lattice work dress has a rectangle cut out with lattice shaping in the cutout The sleeves of the tulip sleeves are joined at the hem with a V shape to accent the lattice shaped hem. Also included is a camisole and petticoat designed to highlight the bodice backs and hemline, which would work well as a cute summer outfit.Take a look at the pattern:
