I didn’t start sewing until about 7 years ago. My mom and sister could sew anything, even Barbie doll clothes, but I was afraid I would cut the pattern out wrong and waste material. My sister finally convinced me to give it a try and I was hooked! We sewed lots of pretty outfits for our niece’s American Girl dolls for Christmas. My husband and I even made 2 wooden four-poster beds for them. I have made a lot of outfits for my niece to wear which turned out great, but the first time I used a pattern for an adult I cut the pattern out wrong and wasted material! Now when I buy material I try to buy a little extra, just in case.

I am really torn between the summer wrap and garden party dress. I don’t have a clue to which one my granddaughter would choose, but I have ordered a couple of other formal gowns for her that I have cut out ready to make. We will see which one makes it on Friday, but these are such cute choices. Thank you for sharing them Lorraine.
