More About Each Pattern:

Denim Mini Skirt Designed to Fit 18 Inch Dolls (New 2018 Updated Version):  The Liberty Jane® Denim Mini Skirt 18 inch Doll Clothes PDF Pattern. Classic mini skirt style! If your AG Doll doesn’t want to wear a classic denim mini skirt, we’d be shocked! Have you asked her lately? Is she permanently stuck in 1774? Maybe you should let her out, just for an afternoon! If you take her to the mall, she’s going to see Hollister, then you’re going to be in big trouble. She’ll never want to put that long dress on again. So her knees show, is that really such a big deal when you’ve got pretty and lean plastic legs? It’s your choice of course, but we think she might like it! And the best part, of course, this fun mini skirt is simple to make. Once you learn how you can do dozens of variations with different colors and fabric styles.

Mini Skirt Designed To Fit 18 Inch BFC, Ink Dolls:  The classic mini skirt designed to fit a slim body BFC, Ink. Doll! This PDF pattern includes two skirt styles - the classic straight center front seam and an updated "hook style" center front seam. The design features a flat front waistband with elastic casing in the back for the perfect fit and easy off and on! The skirt can be sewn with a finished hem or a raw frayed edge for a worn-in on trend look!

Mini Skirt Designed To Fit Kidz N Cats Dolls:  The classic mini skirt designed to fit a Kidz N Cats Doll! This PDF sewing pattern includes two skirt styles - the classic straight center front seam and an updated "hook style" center front seam. The design features a flat front waistband with elastic casing in the back for the perfect fit and easy off and on! The skirt can be sewn with a finished hem or a raw frayed edge for a worn-in on trend look!

Mini Skit Designed To Fit A Girl For All Time Dolls:  The classic mini skirt designed to fit A Girl for All Time Dolls! The doll clothes PDF sewing pattern includes two styles - the classic straight center front seam and an updated "hook style" center front seam. The skirt features a flat front waistband with elastic casing in the back for the perfect fit and easy off and on!

I agree with those who don’t sew for AG size dolls. One Friday a month dedicated only for other sizes sounds reasonable.

Thank you for the free pattern this week. I missed voting, but we only have H4H dolls, but I have nieces with 18" dolls.
I really appreciate the free patterns each week, it’s something fun to look forward to!
I do feel a little sorry for the people without 18" dolls as they always win by a landslide.
Maybe you could do a poll at the beginning of the year and see what size doll people sew for. Then offer that percentage of free patterns throughout the year. (IE if 18" doll were 80%, then 40 patterns could be for that size. If 14" dolls were 15% of the vote then 8 patterns for them, etc.)

Next week for the pattern giveaway can you do a shorts pattern, overalls, or the liberty jane Mindi beach pattern? I would love to use one of those but for additional cost. Thanks again Liberty Jane for the pattern and I love this miniskirt and hope to print it and use it tomorrow when it is available.

I voted for A Girl for All Time because my granddaughters have two sizes of the early Corolle baby dolls, so I hope to make the pattern fit one of them! It will be a nice change from AG patterns for me to sew, although I love them all! Thank you Cinnamon for your generosity.

When I first came to pixiefaire )originally Liberty Jane), all I had were American Girl dolls. After being exposed to the BFC doll, and AGAT doll through FREEBIE FRIDAYS, my doll collection has expanded. I now have a Wellie wisher, H4H, journey doll, BFC, Bitty Baby, Disney Animators, mini AG, AGAT, Magic Attic (similar to kidz and cats) and many other beautiful dolls that I never would have thought of getting if it hadn’t been for the Freebie Friday patterns! Thank you for exposing me to these beautiful dolls, I love sewing for all of them and really look forward to freebie Fridays.

Thanks for sharing with us. I am relatively new to your Friday Freebie and only have an AG doll so my vote is for the AG pattern. That being said regardless of what doll is owned, I thank you for your generosity of FREE patterns every week and am sorry to see people complaining.

AG size doesn’t resize that well for smaller dolls as the AGs are much wider for their height than all-vinyl dolls like KnC, Wellie Wishers and AGAT (AG proportions are more toddler-like with their shorter limbs and wider bodies compared to the older child proportions of the other dolls).

It’s a great basic pattern to have and I shall be glad to get it in any size, but I have so many 18" size patterns because they nearly always end up being picked. I don’t think there is a solution to make everyone happy – if we were voting on every size except 18" people will be unhappy none of the sizes fit their doll. It would be nice though if sometimes slim 18"/AGAT/BFC sizes won sometimes.

Voted for the AGAT Mini Skirt, but knew AG size would win; like Carola’s idea that if the winning pattern comes in various sizes, we could choose the size we need, but sure that would be a headache for PF to set up.

I too am not voting since we only have AG dolls in the house. I’d love to see more Wellie Wisher patterns. Would it ever be possible to offer 1 free pattern a week, but if the pattern is designed for different dolls/sizes we could choose which doll to get the pattern for? Wednesday and Friday’s are special days at our house. My granddaughter and I look at the choices and vote on her favorite. At breakfast on Friday morning her first question is if we can check to see if our pattern won.

Why do you ever give false hope to those of us that have dolls other than AG? For several years such ‘choice’ ends with AG pattern winning for a simplest reason – majority of people there have AG, while those prefering different dolls often have no idea that PixieFaire offers anything for them.

How about giving those with different dolls a fair choice?
