Free Doll Clothes Pattern (March 2nd , 2018) Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (March 2nd, 2018) we are offering a free doll clothes pattern from Cherie Peden of Ma Petite Cherie Couture. Be sure to vote today and then come back and get your copy of the winning pattern on Friday.

More About Cherie: I have been sewing since I was about 4 years old. I learned to sew at my mothers knee. I learned to sew Barbie clothes not by hand but by machine. I remember when I was about 10 seeing an outfit that my Grandmother had made for her Barbie that she had done completely by hand and thinking why would anyone take that kind of time. I learned to crochet at age 7 again under my mothers watchful eye. I also learned to knit but as crochet builds faster knitting fell the way of hand sewing I do if needed. I am the wife to a software engineer and mother to 4 daughters that I home schooled for most of their elementary years. When I am not designing and writing doll clothes patterns I work as a teachers aide in a private school.

More About Each Pattern:

The Kara Shoe Pattern For 18" Dolls:  These simple open toe flats for 18" dolls have a twist - they are missing one side of the shoe! They are super easy to make and take a minimal amount of fabric to make.

The Anna Shoe Pattern for 18" Dolls: Does dolly like bows but not big full bows? Well here is an open toe shoe that has half a bow across the toe! The outside edge of the bow is lined with small beads and the arch side of the shoe is open. This shoe would be pretty in light weight silks and satins as well as in light weight wools.

The Posie Toe Slippers Crochet Pattern for 18" Dolls:  Crochet your doll an adorable pair of ballet style slippers!  These slippers are adorned with with a cabbage rose set atop a dainty doily on the toe.  This PDF pattern will fit most 18" doll feet thanks to the adjustable tie on the back of the foot.

The Gems Shoe Crochet Pattern for 18" Dolls:  The Gems shoe is a striped slip on shoe. This pattern will show you how to create a cute shoe for your 18" doll. The shoe is crocheted in 3 pieces and then crocheted together. No sewing is required!! It has a crocheted flange that is glued between a fabric covered sole and a foam sole, with an edge that covers the seam between the two perfectly..

hmmm, Cherie, Thank you for your generosity and creativity :)

I do like the ease of crochet, and do love the slippers and Gems, but,
I like Kara and Anna shoes, they both have open insteps, great for summer formal dressy events, but I am sure they would be just as great for casual summer events in the right materials, hmm, I am voting for Kara.

Colisa
