Hi everyone,
On Friday (November 2nd, 2018) we will offer a pattern from Donna Kinley of the DKinley Designs pattern collection for free as a special one-day only event. We'd love to have you vote to help us decide which pattern will win, then be sure to come back Friday to get your free copy.
More About Donna and DKinley Designs, (in her own words)... "I (and 5 siblings) were orphaned when I was 4 years old. Two of us were adopted by an Aunt and Uncle. The rest went to the orphanage and foster care. With that much trauma in my life I needed a place to hide, so at that early age, I created my own little world in sewing and designing for my doll. As my sewing skills developed, I began creating clothing for myself and eventually for others as well. I studied commercial art and design in college, and worked in the printing industry for a while. I did custom sewing and alterations for years, but have now come full circle, back to the little world of dolls. I enjoy the creativity of designing and the technical challenge of developing the patterns. I hope to pass on my love for creating to others, through patterns that teach in a way that is easily understandable. (And in case you were wondering… yes, my siblings and I are still in touch and are thankful to see each other when we can.)"

You do a wonderful job with your designs, Donna! I hope to one day be as good as you are!!1
I love the Energy Dress. Not sure why you call it that, but it is beautiful!
Thank you for letting us choose this one. Much appreciated!!1
Thank you so much for the beautiful pattern. Can’t wait to make it. I will make it in honor of my father, who was the person who designed the electrical towers that the dress is modeled after.
I voted for Convergence because it was so unique but am very pleased with the winner. Thank you for offering this pattern for free and for all the Freebie Friday patterns.
I really like the Sweet All Around dress! It is a great sundress! The first dress we called a shift back in the ’60’s. The second dress we called an Empire waist dress. The third we called a mod dress, or a keyhole, mini, or shift. I love how the names change over the yrs!!
Thank you for a beautiful and versatile pattern.
I love the energy dress! I love hearing each story and I am grateful for each designer and their creativity!
Thank you, Art Deco Dress for me
What beautiful designs. Thank you so much for your kindness. I have to say my favorite is the sweet all around. Love the way it flows off the dolls body.
I love Convergence, but I think I’ll get more use from Energy. I wanted an empire waist dress this week, and hey presto! It appears. Thanks so much.
They’re all great this week. Energy dress gets my vote. Thanks, Donna and Cinnamon and team for this week’s offerings.
All are adorable. Thanks so much for your generosity.
Thank you Donna and Cinnamon for sharing your talent with us. All the dresses are amazing, and I like that you include tips and lessons with the patterns. It was hard to choose just one dress, but I picked the energy dress. It has a timeless style.
I like convergence dress I think it make them look classy, and smart.
Love them all.
I love all the dresses, thank you for sharing them
I like Energy dress
All these dresses are wonderful. I will be pleased with either one of them, but like the Art Deco best. Thank you, Donna and Cinnamon for sharing these wonderful patterns.
I liked the sweet all around sundress the best, but they were all darling. Thanks for your patterns as they are always wonderful.
I just love the detail of the trim for the Art Deco dress – it’s fantastic!
Thank you Donna for the lovely patterns and Cinnamon for the Freebie Friday. I vote for the Energy Dress.
Thank you, Donna! Your patterns are so unique and I love that they are fat quarter friendly. I have a lot of fat quarters. I visited for the energy dress.
I really appreciate the interesting design of the Art Nouveau dress with its use of bias to obtain an interesting fabric draping. I can see extending the skirt for a more formal look and creating it without the art nouveau stripes to accentuate the interesting neckline. Dresses created from this pattern will look like clothing from Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor and other better high end stores. Thank you so much for offering us this amazing pattern.
Love them all. Have not tried this designer yet…
Belles nouveautés et nouveaux modèles! Bravo! Je vote pour le modèle “Convergeante”.
Great patterns! I chose the Energy Dress. Thanks for the great selection and your generosity.
God bless you! You are very talented! Thanks for sharing they are all adorable.
I like them all but can’t decide whether to vote for the Energy Dress or the Convergence dress. Thank you so much for offering one of your patterns.
These dresses are amazing. Thank you Donna and Pixie Faire for making them available. As I looked at them, each one got better than the last. It was very hard to choose only one. I wanted to choose all of them.because they are so versatile. And they cross so many time periods in their styling.
Thank you for the pattern. Always hard to pick one. I think I’ll go for Sweet All Around.
Oh this week was hard to decide. I want them all. I made an agreement with myself, buy no more patterns. Well myself lost. Lol
These are all wonderful patterns … how on earth do I choose between them? I want them all .. lol Thanks for Freebie Friday!
Thank you for the free pattern Donna! And thank you Pixie Faire! Ilove them all!
All the dress are marvellous, but i like Convergence over at all the rest.

je vote pour The Energy Dress Designed To Fit 18 jolie robe
Thankyou so much for the opportunity to receive a free pattern from you. I appreciated your story of your life, and consider you pretty strong to have battled all that, and still did something so constructive with your life. Great job! I to love sewing, and creating pretty doll clothes for my grand daughters. I picked the convergence, however, they are all very cute, and would be happy with whichever dress wins. I’m glad your siblings are still in your life, and I look forward to purchasing more patterns from you. Thanks again.
Voted for the Energy dress. Very cute dress & oh so versatile!

Donna, thank you for the pattern choices! My vote is for the Sweet All Around Sundress.
Thanks so much for the darling offerings. They are all great but I went with the energy dress as it looks like I might make some use of my quilting scraps using that. Very unique!
Thank you Donna for offering one of your patterns for Freebie Friday. Any of them would be a treat but I voted for Convergence. .
All of the patterns are really nice with the Energy dress being my favorite. I like the different ways you can you prints or solids.

I voted for the Art Deco Dress because it spoke to me when I first saw it. I would enjoy making this dress for my AG dolls.
Thank you for sharing your story and talents with us, Donna. You are a real overcomer and an inspiration. So glad
Thank you for your generosity. Your story is powerful and must not be easy to tell…thank you for sharing it anyway. I am voting for the Art Deco dress as I love the styling and the way the trim is used to kick it up a notch.
I voted for the Convergence. I really liked the look
Thank you, thank you!! These are all so cool! I would like to vote for Art Deco, but I seem to be having a problem with the voting link. I’d be happy with any of these, and may just buy the ones that don’t poll as high.
Thank you Donna and Cinnamon for offering a choice of four darling dresses for free! I love, love the Sweet All Around dress so am voting for it, but all of them are cute. I plan to buy it if it doesn’t win—that strappy back and all the rest of it is wonderful! With that little bit of fabric, I can make a pile of them and I don’t have a pattern with that styling.
Donna what history you have and how sad that you and your siblings had to go through that at such a young age. Good to see that you never let it get you down and pursued a wonderful career.
It was hard to chose as I love all of them for different reasons. I kept scrolling back and forth looking at them so I finally decided to vote on Energy Dress. Thank you for your generosity.
I love sweet all around because I have MaryEllen and she would love it! They are all beautiful and think you for offing them this week.

Hello Donna, What a family history you shared, I’m sure there is some heartbreak about it. May God bless you all in the forthcoming days.
I voted for the convergence dress as it is quite unusual, but all the patterns are adorable! I’ll be happy with any of them. You have a generous heart, and thank you for offering a free pattern to us.Didn’t vote because I love them all and will be content with whichever wins. Just wanted to say thank you so much for your generosity for this free pattern and your help and assistance in the Design and Pattern academies. I love those who share their knowledge freely and I try to do the same.
The Convergence dress has an interesting neckline I’d love to try, thanks Donna and Pixie Faire.
The Energy Dress seems to be a great dress to sew with the many different lengths and ways they can be sewn! Thanks for the free patterns!
Convergence gets my vote today but will be pleased with any of them. Thanks for the gifting of your design..
All are nice, but the Energy dress is my favorite.

I love all of the designs this week. It is very difficult to choose just one. I’ve voted for the one I believe will be the quickest to finish. I am pretty sure it won’t be the final winner but the great think about these patterns is that the prices are so reasonable and you build points for rewards! Thanks so much Pixie Faire for your generosity!
Oh man they are all cute this time. Its going to be hard to pick from but my vote goes for the Energy Dress
A very hard decision….will be very happy with any of them . Thank you

OMG they are ALL so cute, hard to pick just one! I ended up voting for the Convergence Dress but will be happy with any of them. Thank you so much for sharing.
I already have the Energy Dress, so Art Deco gets my vote!
Thank you for your background. I have 8 others who lost mother and father (childbirth)(heart failure) in 3 yrs. We were never let to see one another(young ones)Parents very young. God was gracious, my sisters and I are close. I taught myself to sew,, ha, ha, had no clue( what the heck is a grain line, can’t be important) Went to adult Ed and learned! I sew for little girls who would not get a doll or a wardrobe, it is my joy. I sew for org. to raffle off these to raise money for poor countries who need water.,ect. Thank you for your generous heart and may you be blest beyond your imagination by God.
Thank you for your kind offer of the choice of patterns. They are all very nice. I ended up choosing the Energy Dress but it was a hard choice.
Convergence got my vote today, but they are ALL lovely and know I’ll enjoy sewing whichever pattern wins. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with everyone this week, Donna!
Cute contemporary dresses. I chose Energy because of possible fabric combinations!
Love the Convergence Dress.
Ohhhh these are all so awesome! Tough choice! Went with the Energy dress, although any one of them could win! Thank you so much! Love the more modern styles!
They’re all so beautiful, but I’m voting for the Energy Dress… Just so sweet.
Thank you for these patterns, Donna. I fell in love with the high-waist bodice on the energy dress the second I saw it. It gives the girls a wonderful shape. It is good to know that the ones that end up not being free can be purchased, because each outfit has a unique touch. Thank you also for indicating the designs are fat quarter friendly, that is important to us.
Thank you Donna.
That’s some History. I’m glad it didn’t leave you bitter, and I’m glad you’re in touch with your siblings – which was a distressing thought when I read that you and two siblings were adopted by an aunt and uncle. Your designs are very creative. Thank you again
Thank you Donna for offering these cute dresses and thank you Cinnamon for another awesome Freebie Friday.
Oh my! These are all so cute and fun. It’s a very hard decision this week. Thank you very much for sharing your creativity. I voted for the Energy dress because I like the “mod” vibe; but, Convergence is just as “mod” looking – gosh, how to choose just one!
Thank you, Donna & Cinnamon for this Freebie Friday giveaway. Donna, your story is very moving. I’m glad you have come through a difficult time in your life and discovered creativity to share with others. I chose the Convergence dress but, would be delighted to use any of your designs!
Wow! What great patterns! It was so hard to choose. I finally decided on the Art Deco pattern. Thank you for offering us one of your wonderful patterns. I’m sure I’ll end up with all of them!
Thank you so much Donna ! I love your patterns
They are all pretty, which is why I already have all but the Energy one!
