Leah began sewing as a child after receiving a toy sewing machine for Christmas. By the time she was in high school she was sewing all her own clothes as well as clothing and other items for family and friends. She has been designing doll clothes patterns for about two years after taking the Pattern Academy through Pixiefaire. She also enjoys quilting and is a member of the Oakland County Quilt Guild. She resides in Lake Orion, Michigan with her husband and two teenage children.

The top's bodice is fully lined with instructions for a button-up closure or a Velcro closure, you choose. The shorts offer a cute button side closure and an elastic waistband in the back for a nice fit around the waist. Although this is an intermediate level pattern, it goes together very quickly.

I vote for the flour sack dress. I actually have a few old flour sacks and my granddaughter has Kit, so that would be perfect. I also remember having clothes made from flour sacks! Mostly they were “play clothes”.
