Get To Know Cherie (In Her Own Words)
"I am a mother of 4 wonderful girls and grandmother to two cute little girls. I have been sewing all my life or at least that is what it feels like. My mother sewed when I was young and would give me a needle and her scraps which I then would sew into balls. I sewed my first dress for myself at age 10 and ventured into designing clothes for my Barbie around age 12.
My mother also taught me to crochet when I was 8 or 9. My sewing machine and crochet hooks are my therapists. I have passed the love of sewing all things doll on to my oldest daughter who now asks me to design patterns for her.
One of my other daughters has also started requesting me to design crochet patterns for her. As with all those who sew or crochet you can never have enough fabric, I am no exception. I would rather shop for fabric than clothes for myself."

Q: What inspired your brand name?
My own name and the French that I heard my Dad speak as I was growing up.
Q: What’s your favorite sewing tip?
Press, press, and then press again.
Q: Is there a new hobby, craft, or skill you’d like to learn?
Smocking, tatting.
Q: If you were to relax by the water, would you prefer the ocean waves, a babbling brook, or a rushing waterfall?
That is a hard one as I enjoy all of them but if I had to rank them it would be: (1) babbling brook, (2) rushing waterfall and (3) ocean waves.
Q: What’s your favorite flower or plant?
Gladiolas.

I’d have to say Yvonne for Sibliesw as there are so few patterns for these dolls. But if only I could crochet better I’d LOVE to be able to make the Ophelia shoes in every color of the rainbow! A pair for each outfit! And the same for the Spring Tulip jacket. Especially if I could resize it for my Sasha dolls. But alas! I have very little kinesthetic memory.
