Just love sewing. Doll clothes are my fave.
I enjoy sewing, and I would love to know more of the “hows” and “whys” of sewing to improve my skills. I have young granddaughters that I hope would like to learn how to sew someday.
I love sewing because I like creating. I would like to win this book so as to be able to teach my future grandsons and granddaughters to sew.
Looks like it would be a fun book for my young niece to learn beginning sewing.

What a wonderful gift for my DIL. I will purchase a copy just for her!
I love sewing! I taught myself to sew after failing that portion of Home Economics. Dad bought me a Featherweight sew. machine and that began my love affair with sewing.
I’ve sewed for my family, for gifts and taught my granddaughter to sew.
I’m sure there are things to learn, skills to perfect.
I’d like the book to pass on to my granddaughter who has a little girl of her own.
Sewing is my creative outlet as always. I just do it on a smaller scale, doll clothes.
Thank you
The best thing about sewing is that unlike most things that need doing and get undone, dishes, bed making, dusting, etc. a sewn project will last for many years and bring a smile each time you look at it. Also it can be a real stress release if I just relax and let it.
sewing is very satisfying ! I started sewing in 1961 and fell in love with it
I enjoy sewing because it is such a creative outlet. Even though sewing is something I do by myself I feel as though I am surrounded by talented women through the websites like pixiefaire…I am so glad to have discovered this site and all it has to offer.
I love to sew because it’s creative. It’s my happy place. The joy of accomplishment is fun.
Sewing provides an activity that I can do at anytime. It can also drive me crazy when I try to do something that my dyslexic mind cannot comprehend. Your patterns remedy this problem and walk me step by step through potentially difficult steps. The finished product is why I sew and despite hassles, when I hand the little girl next door a new outfit for her doll, it’s all worthwhile.
I love sewing for many reasons. The first is the sense of accomplishment! To see something that was pieces of fabric into a beautiful garment. I tell my Grand daughter, it is like building a puzzle, one piece at a time! I love the memories of my Grandmother teaching me how to sew and I know she is still with me every stitch I take! And mostly, the joy in the faces of the people I sew for, young and old.
It is fun and I like to do with my hand for my girls
Granddaughter is wanting to learn to sew and this would be a good guide to walk her through the process.
I would love to win this book to advance more on my sewing. I would love to also teach my little girl to sew also. This book looks like a good one to have in the sewing room. I’m not a beginner but I’m not advance either. I love sewing doll clothes, they are fun to do. I’d like to learn how to work on the not so easy fabric.Make clothes like we wear for the dolls.
How many more years do you have to go? diclofenac buy Make any changes necessary, and then repeat the edit process after taking a break for an hour or, if you have the time, a day
I have been learning to sew for several reasons;
1. I have a little girl who loves to dress up her doll, her self, and her mom.
2. I have a Dad who was hospitalized and wanted “cozy” ponchos to keep the chill off-he has now asked me to start a charitable organization to create adaptive clothing for seniors in nursing care. AND
3. I am a very curvaceous woman who’s measurements land in 3 different clothing sizes!
Although I have made some great strides in my understanding of sewing basics, there are still several things I struggle with that have kept me from going public with my creations. :-( I would like to know if this book is being offered as an e-book so I can load it on my iPad. I am hoping it could help further me toward my sewing goals. Thx! Angell
Since I teach sewing to children, this would be an awesome book to add to my library. Little girls love making clothes for their dolls almost as much as I do. I think this book would give me lots more ideas for projects for my classes.
It is truly amazing how we can take a beautifully designed fabric and a designed pattern and turn it into a work of art just by patience and perserverance. I am in Awe by all the amazing patterns that are out there for 18" American girl dolls, Ellowyne dolls, Magic Attic etc. It is truly breathtaking to see our little vinyl friends be transported into another time period by our own hands and machines and fabrics. I wish I had this when I was a little girl. I had the mind set but no one to teach me. I am truly grateful and blessed to have found such talented artists in Pixie Faire to enhance our creative process in our own little journey through time.It makes the value of our dolls more attractive because we put some much of ourselves into the costumes and bring back a time in history when our ancestors walked the earth. So exciting. It is a learning process not just for children but we adults who create these works of art on our dolls.
I would love to win this book for my granddaughter who is 9 years old……….she has a deep desire to learn to sew and I definitely want her to learn from an expert. She has watched me a lot and wants to learn badly. She just got a sewing machine of her own for Christmas and has watched a tutorial on a sausage pillowcase and completed this. So, I am anxious to get this book for her to read and learn more about sewing.
Growing up on a farm without “little” neighbors sewing became my friend. At a very early age Mom let me use her sewing machine and her fabric scraps to make clothes for my Revlon doll. This led to 4-H, high school Home Economics, B.S. Home Economics, M.S. Home Economics, teaching junior high, sewing for my daughters and their dolls. I’m now looking forward to sewing for my granddaughter Ruby’s little friends. Sewing is who I am.

I love sewing and I want to teach an 8-year old friend how to do it and enjoy it too. She has a new AG doll and her budget for that brand of clothing is non-existent. I have lots of fabric and patterns, but I would like her to learn to do it correctly. Sounds like your book is just the ticket! I learned to begin sewing with my grandmother and on her treadle machine. (Yes, I’m that old.)
I’d love to win this contest!
I love your site. I could really use your book. Thanks.
I have sewn since I was big enough to reach the peddle on my grandmother’s machine. Yes, it gives the seamstress a sense of pride and accomplishment but it let me have have new clothes that we couldn’t afford to go to the store and buy ready made things. It is also a fantastic way to re-purpose materials, make gifts and other things long before the “green movement” became the “thing to do”. As I moved around the world with my military husband, I started teaching sewing. Not only did these groups teach a new skill but they also provided support for those, including myself, who were far away from family and old friends or whose spouses were gone for months at a time. These are just a few of the reasons why I love sewing.
How can I get the sewing book.
Sewing is like art…you start with a canvas or material and create a masterpiece to be shared with others. Doll clothes are my masterpieces. The patterns and ideas I get through Pixie Faire and Liberty Jane are my tools to help make my masterpieces. When someone compliments the doll clothes I make it gives me a thrill beyond explanation.
So, who won???
Would love a copy for my 10 year old daughter who wants to learn to sew.
I have just gotten an 18" doll to sew clothes for. This book would be a great help. I’m hoping it will help me scale the patterns up for my 23" doll that I’ve had since I was 10.
I love to sew because it gives a feeling of accomplishment that housework and cooking don’t. i love a clean house, but how long does that last? And cooking a good meal that fills my family, wonderful, but the the dishes. When I finish a project, it is finished and I have some nice to wear, display or cuddle under. I also love to teach sewing to anyone willing to put in the time to learn.
I love sewing because it gives me a sense of accomplishment at the same time relaxes me.
Love your website!
I love sewing because I had always thought that I wasn’t crafty, but found out that I am after teaching myself to sew. I have found ways to make things & have had fun doing it. My girls have enjoyed the doll clothes that I have made for them using my new found confidence.
I love to sew because making things for my grandchildren gives me great pleasure. Especially when I can pass on the love of sewing.
I love sewing because I can make something uniquely mine. I also like feeling connected to my ancestors, many of whom were seamstresses both as a profession and as a home necessity.
This Christmas I’m sewing for my granddaughters AG dolls. It’s going to be fun choosing patterns, materials, buttons and etc. I love sewing because it lets me be creative.
I love sewing because I like to make new things
I love to sew because it allows me to flex a creative muscle that I can’t in any other way. Sewing allows me to get what I really want – fit, shape, size, color, pattern, etc. Even though I still need a lot of practice, I learn something everytime I sew. I also really like giving something totally unique to someone I love.
Hi! My name is Ashley! A few reasons why I love sewing so much is because it gives me freedom to express myself. I get to sew with close family members. I get to make very fashionable clothing for American Girl dolls and humans. It makes happy and gives time to relax. I can create things with just a simple square. I always wanted a sewing machine ever since I was 6 years old and I finally got it for my birthday. So it feels amazing to make a dress that would take an hour instead of 3 days :). Thanks for the contest! You guys are awesome heroes to me! :D
I will soon be 71 years young. When I was in high school….every girl in the school was signed up for Home Ec., except for me. I hated sewing!! I was forced to take the class or else be the only girl in a study hall full of boys. So I did. I failed the sewing class as I knew I would. Years later after I was married and had two children….I developed the desire to sew for my little girl. Lo and behold…some of the basics did sink in from my high school Home Ec. class! I remembered how to read a pattern. So I experienced some delightful success during that time. By the time my youngest child was 9….I had double ovarian cancer and was carrying my third child. We both survived but not without years of serious health problems. All that has passed….and I’m still here and now with a very strong desire to learn to sew for my American Girl and other 18" dolls….and make their clothes turn out really nice! I would love to have this book to guide me along. I live in a tiny podunk village and there is absolutely nothing here but 300 people. The book would be just what I need!! :o) Thanks for the opportunity!
I love to sew because I get to make gifts for my friends and family that show them how much I appreciate and love them!
“I love sewing” because with each stitch and seam sewn there is a gratification in being part of a “creative process” that includes: inspiration from fabric that is pleasing to the eye or touch, a pattern that intrigues and challenges the sewer to bring it to form, and the excitement as the project takes shape.
Whether young or old, by hand or machine, sewing helps to build confidence in one’s ability to complete a task and see the results. Getting good results and elevating as much frustration as possible is best achieved by learning and using tried and true techniques, patterns with user friendly instructions and reliable equipment.
My interest in sewing was renewed, after an almost 35 year absence, with an interest to make doll clothes for my granddaughter, searching the internet for information and patterns, brought me to Liberty Jane websites and the rest is history. I recommend Cinnamon Mile’s Liberty Jane and Pixie Faire websites and links because “I love sewing” and I always get good results with little frustration when using any of her products or techniques.
My Mom taught me how to sew when I was very young. I saw the most beautiful things come out of what she created. I wanted to be just like her so that I could create something beautiful on my own and say that I created this and that I was thankful that my mom taught me how to do it. Sewing is an art and not just everyone can do it. I am one of the lucky ones. That is why I love sewing.
I love sewing, especially for other people. I love making doll clothes and seeing the joy on the faces of little girls when I present them with a new outfit for their dolls! I’ve also sewn outfits for my granddaughters themselves and they love that as well! Now my youngest granddaughter is becoming interested in sewing and I’ve already purchased her first machine. I would love to be able to give her Cinnamon’s new book along with it in hopes she will enjoy making things for herself and others as much as I do.
I love to sew because it takes me back to when my Grandma and my Great Aunt used to sew for me when I was a child. They taught me so many things, and it is something that I am trying to teach my 3 granddaughters, so they can remember me when I am gone!
I love sewing because it is a wonderful reminder of the time I spent with my Mum who died 27 years ago when I was a young Mum. When I sew it bring a warm feeling of when she taught me how to sew at the age of 9. My 8 year-old Grand-daughter is wanting to learn how to sew now so I hope she has the same wonderful memories learning to sew with me.
Sewing is very creative, and the result can tell a lot about you…fun loving, playful, serious and impressive, active, detailed, comfortable and laid back. Just about anyway that you want to feel with your creations. I love to sew for dolls and stuffed animals; to decorate and refurbish with pillows, curtains, cushions; to give back with quilted scraps for charity; to relax and keep busy.
I love to sew because it’s fun to be able to take a piece of fabric and a pattern and make something to actually wear.
I love to sew because it is so exciting to start with nothing but fabric and end up with something wearable! Plus it is way less expensive to clothe my daughter’s AG dolls with home sewn clothes!!! Not to mention more fashionable with Liberty Jane patterns!
I love to sew, it is my creative outlet.
I love to sew, it is my creative outlet.
I love to sew because I love to see the smiles and excitement on my granddaughters faces when they come over to see what new outfits I have made for their 18 inch dolls. This makes my day!
I have just recently began sewing. My mother has been teaching my 9 year old daughter how to sew. She got a sewing machine for christmas last year. Now I am helping her with her sewing projects.
I took sewing lessons at the Singer store when I was 11 years old, and have been sewing ever since. I love the process of starting with all the separate components, and then ending up with a beautiful finished product.
I can’t wait for this to become available! I will own it!!
I made clothes for my two girls 30-40 years ago but it’s been YEARS since I could say I loved to sew. Last weekend, my 10 yo granddaughter spent the weekend with me and let me know her doll didn’t have much of a wardrobe. That got me to thinking and I decided to make her doll an entire wardrobe for Christmas. Today, I CAN say I’m loving sewing again. Making her doll clothes has been so much fun and I think I’m on my way to becoming a fabric hoarder!
I love sewing because it helps me express my inner creativity and execute ideas that keep popping in my head.
I love sewing because it reminds me of my grandmothers.
I love sewing because it reminds me of my grandmothers.
I love sewing because I get to create some very beautiful items using gorgeous fabrics. Congrats on your new book and thank you for the chance to win a copy!
I love the feel of fabrics and love to sew to create dresses for the American Girl Dolls. Sewing brings joy for me and for the little girls who love to dress their doll. Seeing girls smile as they dress their doll also gives me joy.
Sewing is a big part of my life. I am always thinking about what I want to make next. It is also great relaxation therapy. When I am in my sewing room I am only thinking about sewing and for a few hours, the rest of the world is at bay.
I am looking forward to reading Cinnamon’s new book as it is important to keep up with the newest techniques. Thanks Cinnamon for the latest information on mastering my craft! Best wishes, Colleen
I love sewing as for me it is a form of relaxation. There is nothing better to pass my time than being involved in my latest sewing project.
I’m so excited about this new book by Cinnamon as I’m always looking for new sewing resources.
I’m so excited about this new book. I’m always looking for new resource materials. The more knowledge you have the better sewer you become.
I love sewing because alll the women in my family were excellent sewers. When I was five, my aunt started teaching me to hand sew clothes for my Tiny Tears doll. I was too young to gauge the correct size but I made a dress anyway, It took lots of fixes but I loved it. Later my grandmother taught me to sew using her treadle Singer. I made lots of my own clothing. I love the creativity of choosing the fabric, the style, and the trims. I even made lots of clothes for my children when they were younger. I moved into doll clothes and I love making them I am grateful that you have written a book for sewing because I respect the clothes and patterns that you creat for American Girl dolls. They got me interested in sewing again. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win one of your books..
I love to sew because it is relaxing and therapy for me
I am in my own world of doll making when I am at the sewing machine
Hope to win! Congrats!
I love sewing because it’s one of my many creative outlets that is both stressful and stress-relieving!
I love sewing because it gives me an excuse to buy/drool over patterns and fabric. Keep up the good work.
I love sewing because I can make something unique, and I love to see the joy on my daughters face when I make them something! Also it’s a great way to bond with friends who also love it, even if we’re all beginners!
I love sewing for a lot of reasons…Working toward that end product that I made myself. I feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. It is a peaceful time of making order out of chaos. I also seem to have a fabric fetish-so I can indulge myself a little bit.
I am leaving a note in hopes to win a sewing book so that I can improve my skills…but with all the entries that I see today, I know I don’t stand a snowball’s chance in Hades of winning. Depressing waste of time.
Hi, I enjoy sewing again, it was something I had not done in years, just returned to the sewing machine in the past couple of years, can’t believe all the new techniques out there. I really need to upgrade to keep in touch with the pleasures of creating. Used to sew children’s clothes, now I get total enjoyment from making the “mini” 18" fashions. I really need the help from a new sewing guide, mine is over 50 years old! Hope I’m lucky.
I have always wanted to be able to sew. I would love to be able to buy your patterns and make these items for my daughter.
my grandmother and mother sewed. I’m relearning since my accident and wish to teach my kids to keep it “going” in our family
Sewing is special to me because it’s something my mother, her mother, and her mothers mother have passed on to me!
I love sewing because it allows me to customize clothing to fit my needs :-)
Sewing lets me complete lots of my projects and create great gifts for my god daughters!!
I love to sew because it is actually is therapy for me. I go to my woman cave (as I call it) and sew, sew, sew. I have been sewing since I was a child, sewed when my children were small, did sewing crafts, sewed for my grandchildren and now enjoying for dolls and little girl dresses. I can’ imagine me not sewing. I love to tangle new things. It is something that has always been fun for me.
I love to sew because I can create unique items that are exactly the way I want them. It gives me so much joy to see the things I have created put to use. I love looking through sewing books for great ideas and would love to check out Cinnamon’s new book because I am a big fan of hers!
Sewing has been a huge part of my life for over 50 years. There is always something to learn and it is a way to show your designs. It is a way to create anything!
I can’t imagine a life without sewing, without the need to create and to see a finished creation in my mind when I see a flat piece of fabric.
I love sewing because it is my art form! I am not a painter or sculptor but I can create my own art with fabric and thread.
I learned to sew from my grandmother and mother and have passed down that love to my daughter. I hope to teach my two granddaughters how to sew in the next few years.
I love to sew American Girl doll clothes for my girls’ dolls. Whenever I sew clothes for me they never work…. that’s why I stick with LBJ patterns… they work perfectly everytime! Thanks for the chance to win!
I love to sew because I love creating new things. It is relaxing and rewarding. I would love a copy of your book because I love your patterns and I can always improve how I sew. Congratulations on the new book!

I love to sew. There are so many things that you can make and design when you are sewing. I just started to sew recently and this book would help. Thanks for the great website.
I love sewing because I have always loved to be crafty, my grand-mother started teaching me when I was 9 and I try to teach my grand-daughters (8 and 12) when I get to see them. I had a massive heart attack and now am home. I was doing nothing but, I guess waiting to die, then one day my sweet little grand-daughter (now 9 from Va) called and said, “Maw-Maw”, I need some doll clothes for my American Girl Dolls. Who could resist that tiny little voice so, I made her over 500 pieces in all and mailed them to her for her birthday. I love my grand-children as we all do, I just don’t get to see my too often. I have to stay busy, hate TV, there aren’t any craft shows on anymore, don’t like to read unless it is about crafts or what I am doing. I would love to learn more about sewing. I took old clothes apart and other things to make some of the things because financially I can’t afford much new material and where I live you can’t buy any. I paint and just love to create. Thank God, for that tiny little voice on the phone about a year ago. Don’t know how much longer I have but, until the time comes I will be sewing for my grand-children things that they can pass on to generations to come.
Want to win the great book! I want desperately to pass on my love of sewing to my three daughters. Only one seems to have the inclination though…
I love to be able to make things that I can’t find in stores.
When sewing, I can lose myself. I’m no longer tired, it’s my creative outlet. Love learning and trying new things and seeing what I can create.
Sewing is my therapy, it is my relaxation and it is such fun! I love the many things to sew and add my own touches. I love being creative and this hobby seams (pun intended) to be limitless.
~Julie
I love to sew because I can make what I want and not have to rely on what is avaiable.
Sewing is a passion for me. Its one of those things that is hard to explain. If I need to just get away I will scan over my patterns and books and can get lost for hours just deciding what project to work on. The fabrics and notions are like an endless sea of beauty just waiting to be turned into something to be treasured by someone I love. I also teach children to sew. They are amazing, I had a little boy in my class last year and he enjoyed it so much. He could sew straighter than the little girls! It is such a bonding time for me and my daughter, and nieces to be able to pass down a craft such as this. I feel truly blessed to be able to sew.
It is one of my creative outlets. It makes me feel so good to produce a finished piece that I know is one of a kind. I just love to feel my creative juices flowing. It also helps me to keep an open mind which I find helps me be more creative. My sewing skills have also helped to bring in some extra money which I need since loosing my job to age discrimination.

Am trying to start a retirement business with AG doll clothes. This book would help tremendously. Thank you for your contests, tips and specials.
