Sewing is the means by which I can recreate the styles of the past for my dolls.
I love sewing because it gives me a chance to play with gorgeous fabrics and pretty buttons and bows.
Sewing gives me a chance to be creative as well as creating useful and fun items (clothing, bags, costumes) for myself, my dolls and my nieces. Furthermore does it create an opportunity for me to earn extra money by selling my creations at markets.
It is a skill my mother taught me, a skill her mother taught her and a skill I hope to teach at least one of my nieces (here the book will help :). For me it is therefor also part of my heritage, a skill and a talent, something to treasure and enjoy, but also to share with future generations.
Sewing is fun, relaxing, rewarding!
I LOVE sewing because of the rewards in the finished project, because it is a form of therapy/relaxation, because it is a primitive art form derived out of necessity through generations in my family. My Grammy was most inspirational person who had me making crazy quilt blocks at a very young age.
Sewing makes my day creative and fun!
I love to sew because its a dying craft I feel accomplished when I finish something,. I would love to get the book on AD. My granddaughter has one, I would love to have ask me to make her an outfit. Ps they are going to Chicago next week to the American Girl Doll store. How spoiled is that.
