This skirt was easy to make, flattering to the doll and has a number of possible variations. I used a pastel stripe and changed the direction of the stripes (waist band horizontal and skirt vertical.) also have a solid color cut out that will have nautical trim on it. One unexpected bonus is that the 5 yr old who dresses this doll found it easy to put on and off. Good pattern for all levels of sewing
This is such an easy pattern , excellent for beginners , and gives really professional results in no time at all , it will really boost beginners confidence. I chose to have a longer skirt with just a simple kick pleat at the front , very simple to do . I'm over the moon with the result . This is the first part of an outfit I'm working on , the top my doll is wearing is part of a different outfit .
As I dip my toes into the world of sewing doll clothes, I started off sewing easy patterns. This one could not be more simple/easy, yet the finished product and look reads very expensive and darling. If I could recommend one pattern, it would be this one!!
Of all the patterns I have this one is used the most, Love it!
