Make your own pretty 1850's style dress for 15" Ruby Red Fashion Friends® dolls with this Keepers Dolly Duds sewing pattern. The dress features two design options:
View A Bodice: A trimmed edged vest overlay that extends down over the top of the skirting. Add a single ribbon bow to connect the two vest pieces at center front.
View B Bodice: Double front trimmed edge panels, overlayed on top of the basic bodice front. This design looks great with a bow accent or without.
Both Variations: Short sleeves were typical early 1850's fashion for young girls and this pattern provides an option for either single or double-layered sleeves. The gown features double skirting with an over-skirt that has a trimmed scalloped shaped hemline. Lace, bias, or piping can be used as edging. The back fastens with three buttons or snaps closures and side ties form a pretty bow at the back.
This is a relatively easy intermediate pattern and a great choice for someone with limited sewing experience.
This pattern is designed to fit a 15" Ruby Red Fashion Friends doll. It is also available separately for 18" American Girl Dolls and 14.5" WellieWishers Dolls
Suggested Fabrics: View A and B Dress in a lightweight fabric such as cotton, linen, or silk. Not suitable for knits.
