This 1940s era Nurse’s cape by Keepers Dolly Duds is a truly timeless garment. Made from only two pattern pieces, it is a snap to make. The fully lined cloak is cut from a full circle of cloth and tailored at the shoulders to give it a nice even drape. It fastens at the front neckline with a single button or snap. Although it is made specifically to go with the 1940s Nursing Student uniform, it is a stunning outer garment that can be worn with outfits from any time period!
As a bonus, this pattern includes the pattern and instructions for a one-piece vintage nurses cap.

Suggested Fabrics: Cape in dressmakers wool, lighter weight wool flannel, linen, gaberdine, and synthetic wools. Cottons can be used, but have less drape. Not suitable for knits. Cape Lining in lightweight silky fabrics such as synthetic lining, silk, toile, or cotton blend shirting. Not suitable for knits. Cap in medium weight cotton or cotton blend fabrics such as quilting cotton or muslin. Not suitable for knits.

• Cape - 1/2 yard of 45” wide fabric
• Cape Lining - 1/2 yard of 45” wide fabric

• Two 1/4” to 3/8” buttons
• 1” square of red fabric backed with fusible interfacing for cross applique
