Retro Wrap Top and Circle Skirt

Seriously I am having the most fun sewing these two items for my granddaughters and their 4 friends - yes that makes 6 in total and the more I sew the easier it gets and it is easy to follow the instructions so anybody will be able to sew them and get good results. Having fun is great

Very easy

I resized this pattern to fit my My Friend Mandy doll, the top I reduced 80% and the bottom 85%. The pattern was easy to sew and fits great. It took about an hour cut and make both pieces.

So sew easy.

This is a great way to use up scraps. It would also be a good pattern to teach someone to sew. The trickiest part would be sewing the bias binding. Pattern was well written and photos and instructions nice and clear. I used crimpelene for the scooter and crepe for the top. Both fashion fabrics from the '70's.

Scooter skirt and Halter

My bigtgest problem with this pattern was agonizing over which combination of the many I could create from my stash. The pattern is so simple and so wearable for the dolls I keep coming up with new combinations. One thought for those sewing for dolls whose owners are 5 years or less...If they don't know how to tie their shoes, think up a different way to close the halter straps. I used velcro for one halter and snaps for the other. both worked.

Halter Top & Scooter

Cute, easy to sew pattern. Uses scrapes of material. Fits well. Nicely finished.
