Pattern might be a bit confusing due to the varied ways to finish the dress bodice. You need to carefully check fir the pieces you need to b my are the bodice type you prefer. They are clearly marked, however. Dress came out nicely. I made the over skirt removable to give my granddaughter options.
I made this dress out of an old dress shirt. It was tricky getting the skirt pieces out of the de-constructed shirt pieces, but I was very happy with the results. I added a sewn in petticoat and short puffed over sleeves. I loved making this dress and can't wait to make another one for my nieces birthday. The pattern was easy to use as were the directions.
This dress is quite the statement dress! Makes your doll feel like a princess! There are a lot of different options with this pattern. You can make it with both skirts, or just the smaller underskirt (which is still a stunning dress). You can make it as a top and separate skirt for a different look. The dramatic overskirt can be made as a separate piece allowing different looks.
