Alana is a versatile PDF sewing pattern comprising of a Hawaiian-style shirt, shorts with contrast trim and a bonus pattern for a reversible bucket hat.
The loose fitting casual shirt is traditionally styled. It has a left breast pocket, revers collar, lined yoke, side slits, short sleeves and is fastened with hook and loop tape, buttons or snaps.
The shorts have a contrast hem band and an elasticated waist for an easy fit.
The whole ensemble is a fun summer outfit that’s ideal beach wear, perfect for a doll’s vacation, for wearing on board a ship, or just for playing in the park or the garden.
The shirt and shorts will also make super summer pajamas for those warm, balmy evenings when long PJ pants are just too much.
The shirt would also be great for making school uniforms.
With instructions included for creating the shirt fastening for both boys and girls, the Alana pattern is a great addition to your pattern collection and will fast become a go-to pattern for many of your doll’s favorite clothes.

I had fun making this outfit. My only suggestion is that perhaps the "liner" fabric be less distracting. It took me a couple of tries to get the yoke/collar set correctly. Perhaps that is just because I have never made a shirt! I willmake the hat a bit larger next time, as I would like to tuck hair up under it. Is there a way to upload a photo of the finished outfit?
Easy to sew, but too small for american boy doll Logan.
Great pattern. Fit was perfect and directions were easy to follow. Loved how it was designed so hook & loop stitching was hidden and hat was reversible. Hardest part was finding a Hawaiian print that was small enough for doll clothes. The designer has a real flare for creating unique patterns.
A really great pattern, have done a little tweek to the back rather than the centre pleat I have done 2 at either side of the back to make it look like a bowling shirt. A lovely pattern and very versatile.
