I made the shirt with long sleeves and the shorter collar. Because my light-weight knit wanted to roll badly, I added 1/4" to the edge of the collar pattern, serged the edge, and then hemmed the collar at 1/4". I love the way it looks. A very versatile pattern to be used over and over!!!
I had the pleasure of testing this pattern. I did the sleeveless long collar version. This is an easy versatile top Paired with a pair of cut offs, jeans or a long formal skirt, this shirt looks equally good. I chose a stretch velvet for my version but it looks good in many different knits. It’s your choice, the sky’s the limit!
I made the long sleeved, longer length collar. I love how it looks with jeans. I loved how it looked with a skirt. I have it on my 1980's girl right now, but I can see it being used with an historical character doll. Don't you think this collar would look great with a long flowing gown! Pick a nice, soft, fluid, drapey fabric for this. I used a soft knit with a rolled hem stitch for the collar edge, although there are lots of ways this could be finished. Very fast construction on this, and with such a unique design, this would be a great pattern for doll clothing entrepreneurs.
