I have had this pattern for a while and finally had a beautiful glitter chiffon fabric to use. I followed the instructions, and was also a bit bothered by the 'wrong' and 'right' side of fabric directions, however I realised that the right side of the lining fabric would show through the sheer dress fabric when finished. This gives a better look to the dress, especially with a satin lining. The instructions were well written, though I did notice that there may have been some markings missing from my pattern pieces. ( perhaps I had an older version). I took my time and finished it over 2 days. I am very pleased with the results.
This is a very pretty dress. It has a lot of small pieces and it not a quick sew. It takes time and attention to make properly. It is worth it! It makes a very cute dress that is both stylish and timeless. I wrote a review with pictures here: http://dolltraume.blogspot.com/2016/11/girls-in-white-dresses-with-blue-satin.html
It was so easy to order this pattern. Thank you
Beautiful pattern, but a few of the directions are incorrect regarding the RIGHT side and the WRONG side of the lining. Experienced sewers will catch this. Just think it through before you sew, or use a lining fabric that is the same on each side. Otherwise you may be disappointed or confused. Otherwise it is great!
Starting the sash. Giving it 4 stars to hopefully grab attention for a possible error check...I think the sash pattern piece is wrong. The one is for a 1" sash, the other for the 1 1/2" sash, yet both pattern pieces are the same (only the writing is different). Am I missing something? Other than that...LOVE it!
