When making doll clothing, a lot of us avoid buttonholes and eyelets because they are difficult to get "just right." With these embroidery designs, however, perfect, beautiful buttonholes and eyelets can be stitched at the edge of a garment, starting at 1/8" away from the edge, all the way to 1/2" away. They can be perfectly spaced vertically at the following measurements: 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1 1/8", and 1-1/4" apart. Or for buttonholes that aren't quite stitched at these intervals, you can choose a design that will let you space them a "smidge" closer or farther apart.
Special Note: The eyelets, small, and medium buttonholes designs can also be purchased separately on Pixie Faire.

Machine embroidery has exploded on the fashion runway this spring. The Paisley, Please! Machine Embroidery...
This embroidery file has made all the difference for me when it comes to buttonholes. Now, after finishing an heirloom piece I don’t have to sweat ruining it with a buttonhole-gone-wrong. They stitch out beautifully and precisely. I don’t have to worry about the buttonhole foot snagging on a seam, or skewing the buttonhole as the embroidery foot easily moves just around the buttonhole. Love these!
I tried making a row of 5 small buttonholes on an 18 inch doll top. The directions were well done and I got great buttonholes on the first try1 I plan to make a lot more buttonholes on my future doll projects.
Who wouldn't love to make rows of perfect buttonholes time after time? This set will do just that. Adding buttonholes to your garments instead of Velcro is a now no-brainer. Just pick your buttonhole size and spacing from the MANY options and let your embroidery machine handle all the fiddly work for you. There’s even a single buttonhole so you can design your own custom spacing. Kudos! This is a must-have for every doll designer.
