As with all of Liberty Jane's patterns the instructions were very easy to follow and the illustrations were really good. It turned out very cute. I recommend using a lightweight very pliable faux leather.
I love this jacket. Fun to sew. Had a little trouble understanding the zipper placket but worked through it. So pleased I have made two more for gifts.
This jacket is just too cute. It works up nicely and looks adorable. I find the sleeves to be a bit too long, at least for my AG doll. A lot of patterns seem to have long sleeves but with the stiffness of the pleather it shows up more. I can't wait to give it to my niece. Happy stitching!
I loved the results however it was definitely a challenge to make. I bought the bomber kit so all the materials were included. Sewing faux leather isn't easy on my sewing machine even using the leather setting. The only part of the instructions that were a bit unclear was the zipper placket. The picture was difficult to see since it was a dark fabric. Read it very closely. I have found all of your patterns to be great fun to make! Thanks for your great patterns and kits!
I love this pattern!!! I made it in a faux leather, black with many small holes. It's beautiful. The instructions are very clear. I highly recommend this pattern to anyone looking for a challenge. Speaking of challenge, it's not with the pattern--it's with finding the right feet for your machine and using a leather needle. I ordered small zippers from "Zip that doll" as they are not available in Canada.
