Boy Doll Moto Pants 18” Doll Clothes Pattern

6   |

The classic Liberty Jane® Moto Pants have been re-designed to fit an 18-inch boy doll with a looser more relaxed fit. The Boy Doll Moto Pants pattern features ‘moto’ patches on the knees with topstitching providing an extra layer of durability. The pants can also be made without the knee patch for a more traditional khakis look. Two back pocket options are included: welt pockets and patch pockets. The pants look great with either style! They have a flat front waistband and elastic waist back. This provides a smooth fit under a tee and is easy to slip on and off. Front slant pockets provide a sleek, finished look. The pockets are functional and the doll's finger slips in easily.

*Design note: This is a new pattern. The original LJ Moto Pants pattern designed to fit 18-inch girl dolls makes a slimmer fitting pant with a center back leg seam.

Moto Pants

I like patterns which teach me something new. This is one of those patterns! I love the padded knees on this pair of pants. The detail really makes these pants! It reminds me of the detail you see with Kidz N Cats doll clothes. I did the version with the seam down the center of the back of the legs. Again, another nice detail. But my favorite part was learning how to sew a welt pocket! I have done welt pockets for human sized patterns, but never dolls. The instructions were great.
