Cable Sweater Crochet Pattern

5 Reviews   |

Is your doll ready for the cool weather? Add a few Cable Sweaters to her wardrobe to keep her comfortable and warm this fall. The Cable Sweater pattern from Little Abbee is fashionable and fun to make!

The design features a ribbed edging around the collar, sleeves, and bottom of the sweater. You will love the sweet cables that run vertically along the front, sides, sleeves, and back of the sweater. It is crocheted from the top down with the sleeves added after the body is crocheted. Instructions for long or short sleeves are included in the pattern. The back closure uses ½” buttons for easy dressing. Yarn from Knit Picks was used to crochet the sweater on the cover image.

This PDF crochet pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl®.

This is an advanced level crochet pattern. It includes instructions with step-by-step pictures of all of the special stitches (cables), and the ribbing.

Cable sweater

Great pattern. Very easy to follow. I extended the length of the cables around the collar to make the neck line smaller and that worked well.

Nice pattern!

Crocheted a sweater using this pattern. Since it was for a different doll, I did add more rows to the sleeves to lengthen them. Other that that, I made it as directed. Came out very nice. I've already started a second one. I used a category 1 yarn and a 3.125mm hook (didn't have a 3.25mm hook). Good directions and photos. Here's a pic of it on my Trinket Box Kid Mazey, who is similar in size to American Girl dolls:
