Carly's dress

This is a really cute pattern but I made several changes once I sewed my first dress. I taped the skirt pieces together and cut in one piece. I also sewed the front bodice piece to back bodice pieces before attaching the piping again in one piece. Then attached the skirt in one piece. I also attached the bottom piping and hem band in one piece. All in all this process is faster and cleaner. No mismatched piping or hem band at seams.

Easy to put together and fits the WW well. Only suggestion I have is to put the piping on top and bottom in one piece vs on each piece.

Not great instructions

If I didn't have sewing experience I would have been very frustrated trying to make this dress. Also, the side seams were perplexing and the skirt cut in three separate pieces just doesn't make sense.

Carly’s dress

I love this website- it’s so nice to be able to buy a pattern and download it immediately. Carly’s Dress is a great pattern- easy to follow and fits just right. Thank you for helping to keep the art of sewing alive, especially when sewing patterns in stores are super-expensive- even for doll clothes!
